Fern Creek didn't look too bad today at Providence IN considering they had 6 empty weight classes. Some of the veterans looked really good in their matches but I don't have any official results. Here are some of the ones that I was paying attention to.
Daniel Wiexler  went 4-1. His only loss came to Dan Smith of Trinity (who looked very impressive by the way). Wex pulled off a last second win against a Providence kid that was pretty good, with probably one of the best inside trips I've seen him do. Wex will be one to watch at 112. IMHO not to mention the hair...
Kyle Hardin went 4-1. 1 by forfeit. Kyle wrestled up at 215 giving up 25 lbs. lost to a very stout Providence kid. He wrestled well none the less.
Derrik Branch had a pretty tough day. He met two IN studs I think that handed him losses.
Ben Barger wasn't at weight yet. Ben did bump up to 160 and lost to a very tough kid from IN.
Cody Mann wrestled very tough. Cody lost 1 or 2 to IN kids. One of Cody's wins came against Trinity's Adam Remines. It was a pretty close match, but as I have seen in other places, a win is a win.
John Wolsiefer (how'd I do Tom? spl) looked good as usual. John frustrated several of the IN kids.
Kurt Waller had a very hard day. I think he went 2-3. but don't quote me on that.
Still no Deon :-(
Our 103 missed weight. :x but showed promise on Wed pinning PRP and Manual. :-D
Fern Creek will definitely be a stronger tournament team than they are a dual team
Overall good job Creek!!!
