Funny, I have a very similar post...
Winning two team titles.
Breaking my ankle in the first round of the state tourney my senior year (going in ranked 3rd). Ended up going 2-2 on one leg.
Michael Jackson's final win.
One of my most memorable moments was when my teammate Austin [160], whos blind, was gettin' beat pretty bad by the fairidale 160. The guy had him in a kay-kay and it looked like it was all over. The one thing about Austin is that hes a pretty straight forward, defensive wrestler. This caused him to get put on his back pretty soon in the match. Hes was pretty inexperienced and didnt know a whole lot about defending or reversing moves like this. Right as his other shoulder hit the mat he let out a big yell and drove his feet like hell into the mat. He gave him a hard enough bridge to flip him and stick him late in the third period.
This was one of the first matched I saw that really inspired me because he was such an underdog in the match. People were crying and screaming and it was just a great moment for him and us.
When William Smith from valley beat Robby Brown from fairidale bye one point in double over time
When Kyle Goodrich won back to back team state Champs, and Won a state state title @ HWT!!!!
When Woodford Co. had five state champions in 2006. Way to go boys!!
Seeing Richard Starks win his last state title
winning a 13th state title
Seeing Will Starks beat Mark Jones
Having 5 champs in 2006
Harrison Courtney beat Pat Banks 4-2, La Rue fans so pissed that they threw glow sticks and other stuff at the Woodford fans.
La Rue going home pissed because they talked so much trash about beating woodford at the state duals by 1 pt. and saying that they smoked us when we raped them in the state tournament. all i have so say to La Rue is that's pathetic to boo another kid from a different team after he gets dropped on his head by your own wrestler and gets hurt and tries and wants to continue the match but the ref wouldn't let him because he didn't want to win like that. you're pathetic La Rue fans
seeing courtney hit his knees and thanking god after winning state
It's a little hard to say but, I was very impressed with Richard Starks performance in his final match. I was also impressed with the class he exhibited when it was over and he was the winner. There was no grandstanding, only the behavior of a gracious winner and he was truly respectful of his opponent and their coaches.
WAY TO GO Richard!!!

It's easy to do that when you've had the opportunity 4 times
one for me would be at the state tournament when my friend/teammate Cameron Bibbs get 4th place. He really wrestled like a beast this tournament pinning 3 kids with his splits he was the only wrestler that went 2 periods with murton.
actually ashbrooke went all 3 periods without getting pinned or teched. the score was like 14-1. but yeah, bibbs did wrestle darn good, congrats too him.
watching isaac ervin (119) beat defending state champ caleb wood. watching chance puckett (112) pin luna in the 3rd place match.

Seeing one of my teammate/brothers get put in that banana splits!!!!!
Watching all the kids expressions and attitudes, their wins, their losses, their personality on and off the mat. I was taken aback to see the intensity, technical ability and desire along with the mature attitude from some of the youngest wrestlers at the state tournament. You fellas were remarkable. I look forward to seeing you wrestle in the future state tournaments. Chalk one up for the youngsters. As for the veterans of the tournament, I witnessed them prepping and advising their young team mates taking care of their own. Chalk one up for our future leaders. For many seniors, their wrestling door is closed, but to many others, their wrestling door is open. Congratulations to all the kids who made it to the State Tournament. Good luck to the young boy who wrestled like a man! There will be many more state tournaments in his future.
watching Joe powers from souther win state by beating Matt Mines after Daniel Thueneman!

yea that was pathetic eric bryant did not derserve that at all, i had a lot of respect for larue going into the state tournament and even hoped they would win but now i see how they act im glad woodoford kicked their booties and ran them out of the gym, they derserved every bit of it
LOL I wouldve never imagine Larue doing that,Did they really say n act that immature.....They did get pretty crunk when banks beat me for 3rd lass year when I wasnt even tryin n they didnt like when I beat ozzie over the summer either,I'm shocked tho!!
I juss wished guys with better attitudes won state this year,I dont want 2 take anything from any of them because they all worked hard but some egos are in woodford n soem big heads,I always did like Big Starks tho n Rusty alittle... The hvwt this year impressed me at state duals I didnt loike hime b4 but when I watched him there he was great...
My good memory would have 2 be Eastern bringing home nuttin but 3rd n 4th medals with da exception of 1 of our guys who stays injured but he pulled a good 6th,those r my memories 4 this year...nuttin too unbelieveable,2006 had some good wrestlers juss like lass year,I hope 2 see some at senior nationals n some wrestle in college,Taylor want by what I've heard but maybe others will....I was also hoping Tyler Voth would win, murner doesnt impress me really..
Pinning the number 6 kid in the state (a 3 time state qualifier) in the quarterfinals at regionals and then making it to the finals of the region to advance to states. The team the kid was from has now been state runner ups the last 2 years and conference champs like the last 6 years so they are the powerhouse in my part of the state.
