Don't know if you saw the Fern Creek tournament results from this past weekend - Reitz and Mater Dei (Indiana schools) took top honors, but East Oldham took 3rd.  East Oldham 75 lb - John Shirkey - took 3rd over Fern Creek - Elkins.  Elkins lost early and had too many wrestle backs to qualify for third.

A girl ranked 6th in the state.  That's great.  Congrats to her.  She's a great wrestler 8-)

AJ Bindner(4th grade-River City) wrestling up to 9 lbs under weight @ 70 finished 4th(4-1) beating a tough Mater Dei kid and B.Nelson(FC). He could not wrestle for 3rd cause of 5 match rule.Also, a big win for Fern creeks N. Thompson beating Blake Jordan(MD) in the finals of the 65 lb class.Does anyone know who got best wrestler at Fern Creek ? From an upset stand point(not just skill) my vote would go to Thompson even though 65 is not considered middle school.

Logan Wedding got MOW and it was well deserved he wrestled great all day and beat Garth Yenter last years 75lb state champ in a way that I have never seen before.The was 10 to 0 early in the 3rd period and Logan started cutting Garth and taking him down at will,the score reached 18 to 4 and Logan pinned him easily. What a way to handle a state champion.

glad to see a good number of Campbell county Middle schoolers ranked

Roger johnson of South oldham has beat the number 4 ranked heavy weight(wilkins elkhorn) twice this year pinning once.

Also was beating the reitz kid 8-0 and sliped and was pinned in the last thirty secounds of the third period of  finals at fern creek. 

Five match rule also kept Long(103) from SOMS from wrestling for third.

There was some good competition.

Looks like some kids have lost recently to some pretty tough competition.  Are these rankings even close to accurate?

There are kids that continue to pop up in random tournaments and State Duals that have never been heard of before.  I'm not sure where they have been all season.  (High School, out of state, who knows??) That being said, the rankings are about 1 1/2 weeks old now and there have been some matches take place and some "new" kids pop up that would indeed change the rankings.  If you know better than me please feel free to post your own rankings.

You're right, I should've have changed that in the last update.  With regions this week there's pretty much no reason for any more rankings updates though.  It will all work it self out soon enough.

ryan stevens from twenhaffel i believe is at 140 he beat the kid from conner tonight pretty soundly and i must say he has a killer shot

I think the "rankings" are a pretty good thing, and think you are doing a good job based on the results that are given to you.  I appreciate it, as do my wrestlers. I think it gives them something to talk about just like HS, and kind of makes the season more interesting.

I didn't realize how strong Campbell County was, they gave us (Union County) the best match of the day and crushed everyone else they dueled.  I think the beat Bourbon Co. 72-9. Were they this good at the beginning of the season?

Yeah, I've seen them a little bit; keeping my eye on a few of those kids.  Looks like the high school team will start reloading a bit more than they were able to do the last couple years.

well yes these rankings are excellent...but trevor ford from trinity should be ranked as well. He should be ranked number 1 because he has pinned every single person in his weight class(even Larue) he has only one loss and that is from the number 1 middle school kid wrestling in ohio at heavyweight. he hasnt slipped through the cracks hes been here just nobody has put his name out

Just to set the record straight Zack Evans is at 140 he only wrestled the Anderson co tourney at 131  he has a 23 -1 record at 140

Loran Avera has a 20 and 2 record at 131 losing to Ritz by des. and RCWC which he beat at regions

7th grader - Spartan Wrestling Club. 

Vince is only a 6th grader.He is wrestling for the club this year do to the coaching change at the middle school.

He was listed as a 6th grader last year at MS state.  Unless he was held back he should be 7th this year.

why do the rankings only show up to the top 6 rankings per weight class?

Josh or anyone use ubtappin's ranking as a template... if you know a weight class well... add wrestlers to the list...ex if wrestler x beats #6 twice but has lost to #3 two times. Put X wrestler 4 or 5 ... I'm sure others will help out ...and ubtappin would more than likely appreciate the help...there are some new faces out there.

In about 4 days there won't be any need for rankings.
