North Hardin varsity is enroute to Raptor Invitational at Brentwood Tenn this weekend, as we speak. They were supposed to send a B team to Tates Creek, but I'm not sure if that is happening.

Looks like Simon Kenton Showed up along with half of Campbell Co. varsity (They sent the other half of their varsity to the Fairfield tourney, where they placed 15th) , and Lafayette was not there.

I thought he might be a contender this year, but he does not seem to want to put the effort into it.

This is at least the second time he missed weight this year.

I've heard he only lost about 5lbs to make 140. My guess is (with the exception of maybe the top 3 wt. classes) most of the contenders at the other wt. classes have lost 10+ lbs to make the wt. and probably have made wt. every time out.

Where will Holmes be wrestling this weekend? This is the last weekend of scratch wt.

Southern will be there I believe. Will Golsby make wt. here and wrestle Powers, or is he not making wt. becuase of fear? (Coomer was thought to be wrestling at TCI, maybe he didn't make wt. for fear of facing him again).

Golsby goes at it 100% when he's on the mat, even in practice. He usually ends up having to drop last minute lbs before a tournament. My older son had the same problem making 140 so the coach bumped him to 152 the rest of the season. Just a lack of discipline when it comes to calorie intake the night before. Unfortunately, most of Holmes wrestlers only wrestle in the HS season. I don't think Golsby would have any problems wrestling 145, but Holmes has that and the 152 spots filled.

I sure its not a fear issue. Most times, Holmes kids have no idea who they're wrestling.

I'm more curious about why Austin Cooper bumped up to 160. The only reason I can think of was that he wanted to wrestle Tony King.

I don't think Golsby would have any problems wrestling 145.

NO PROBLEMS AT 145. I know of three just in region 6.

Lafayette wasnt at TCI they were up in Clarksville In. i know that Coomer doesnt have the fear of wrestling Goldsby. When Goldsby places at Mater Dei he can talk.

grappler-well i am sorry i took it the wrong way. but it sure sounded like you were putting down coomer. Well Coomer didnt place in state last year but i wouldnt count him out this year. sorry about the misunderstanding!

golsby destroyed coomer at the holmes duals. so why would he be scared and he will beat joe powers. most likely by tech fall.

first of all gb, goldsby didnt destroy coomer by any means, coomer was winning when goldsby hit a lucky move and coomer got caught on his back, so get your facts straight before you start running your mouth partner

Anthony Patrick won the TCI @ 135. He pinned Griggs from Tates Creek in like 20-some seconds. Spencer won @ 112, he beat Zarth from Henry Clay. Jammie Kestner from Johnson Central won the tourney @ 130, he beat Pearson form Bullit County 11-6 in the finals. Oldham won as a team, and Simon Kenton got 2nd.

Where was Trace Stafford @ 130 from Ashland ?
