Lets say that you are the coach of your team. You are able to have any wrestler in the state on your team. Who do you choose and why? Dont just pick the best wrestler in the state. For instance if you have a very young team, and could possibly be in contention for a state title in a few years, picking Travis Sullivan would not be the best pick. But if your only weak spot in the lineup was 112, and you could contend this year with him, then he would be a great pick. Also think about good team leaders, and what not.

I want one Ervin child and one Cooper child. I will fuse their DNA and clone them. The birthing oven will be a broad boned, lightly bearded German woman with wide birthing hips and muscular thighs, named Helga.
Pat Lee has agreed to do the turkey baster portion of the transaction, he has significant experience in this field apparently.
I don't know how you did it but you grossed me out, aroused me, and made me hungry all at the same time. hahaI want one Ervin child and one Cooper child. I will fuse their DNA and clone them. lol....i must be the easiest target in the world on here!
if i was drafting 1 kid...it would depend on what grade my team is going to peak at. if i had a strong 9th grade class..i'd probably go with Caleb Ervin....(and hope he'd bring all his brothers, sisters, cousins...etc). If i had a strong 8th grade class...probably John Fahy - get a 2 for 1 deal, because his younger brother is pretty daggone slick himself. 7th grade, i'd probably go for Darrien Wolnitzek....just to lure his parents away from Conner. HAHA - just kidding, no one get their panties in a wad over that.

I would go a little farther and throw some Murton DNA in there as well. I would send this monster of a child to Meade county to train, and his name would be Mr. LIEBERUM!!

IPEA - i found the perfect woman for you....her name is not Helga, her name is lilreb!! LOL...if you've followed the thread discussing tap outs, you'll know what i'm talking about. It sounds like she has given birth to a REALLY tough kid!! Wow, I never would have suspected lilreb as a woman. That's too funny to find out. Somehow though, i don't picture her with a beard...she sounds like a real lady!!

Depends on if we can delve into past wrestlers as well.
I'm gonna go with no because he said If you want a young team... And a college wrestler returning to high school wrestling would be like a uh, laptop going back in time and beating up other big slow computers.

But what if I'd rather have an experienced team?
ok what are you going to do when in two years all your seniors and juniors are gone? But what if I'd rather have an experienced team?
I'd start with either Josh Johnson or Caleb Irvin. Josh is a great technical wrestler and has a great chance to be a 3x state champion. He has already been a state runner-up & also placed 3rd. He would make the rest of the team around him better (at least in the lower weight classes) just simply by practicing against them day in and day out. Caleb still has a lot of years left to wrestle and has a tremendous upside. Plus, you would have the benefits of having other Irvins at the matches and practices so they can watch their brother, cousin, nephew, etc. I wouldn't mind having Brad Hitchings either. He will be a 2x state champ once Reid graduates and he has proven himself to be a very good wrestler having placed 3rd at 152 last year, which it is very difficult for a freshman to place that high at a mid to upper weight class. Either of the 3 is who I would take if I had a young team, but all 3 will still win and place high at state right away. As far as an older wrestler, without a doubt I would want either Reid, Mitch Ervin or Courtney. Any of those 3 would make even the worst of coaches look like they knew something.
My Team...
103 - Myron Bradbury
112 - Michael Osbourne
119 - Matt Zarth
125 - Coty Vinsant
130 - Josh Johnson
135 - Matt Slone
140 - Korey Shotwell
145 - Harrison Courtney
152 - Dakoda Choate
160 - Mitch Ervin
171 - Brad Hitchings
189 - Ryan Kelly
215 - Derek Nickel
285 - Jordan Whiting (if he wrestles senior year, if not then Billy Fuller)
I propose a Fantasy Wrestling League next year. Ranger assigns a Dollar Value on each wrestler and you have to build a team without going over the salary cap. You could accumulate points based on tournaments won and matches won against other ranked wrestlers. Winner gets entrance fee paid to State Tournament.
Only half kidding.
103: Luke Troxell (only an 8th grader and still a contender)
112: Michael Osbourne (only 10th grader and still a contender)
119: Steve Supe (only 10th grader and could bring Ritchie in case Luke grows)
125: Shawn Johnson (Fast 10th grade contender)
130: Caleb Ervin (9th grade contender who could bring relatives)
135: Dan Thomson (10th grader who could teach the team to be mean)
140: Korey Shotwell (10th grade contender)
145: Harrison Courtney (11th grade & awesome
I'll take a team of these 7th and 8th graders and in 2 years with a few to be named later will win the state 2 and probably 3 times.
wade holtsclaw, nick paden,Luke troxel , Kevin cooper, Alex Murphy,JJ Jude,Bernard Ray, Drew Newberry, Brent hitchings and John Fahy.
highly doubt that...most of them will be at the same weight class
