Tom Shirey decisioned Marc Blanford 7-1 at the dragon

Yeah, I don't know what to do with 130 from about #15 to #30.  Many of those guys have looked good one day and terrible (just being honest) another.  So yes, you looked good at the Dragon and Blanford stunk it up.  But I didn't completely turn it upside down because I think he has been more consistent so far this season.

That is my understanding.

centrals HWT told me this weekend that PC cobble is out for the season

Well I've only been at 130 since JCTC and my only losses there are to Mills, Skinner, and Miller

man that sucks johnny is an awsome wrestler

Well I've only been at 130 since JCTC and my only losses there are to Mills, Skinner, and Miller

yea, I've beat people ranked above me too its not really a big deal the season is pretty much over if there is something to prove its on the mat not in the rankings, show what you got at state and don't worry about some online statistics

Do you think the Olympic Training Center will be trying to contact me now that i'm ranked so high?  :-D

Matt Neal and Thomas Brownfield are both ranked too high. Their match tonight looked like two women dancing. I saw one move only, a slide-by. I am not kidding, one move only. These two bad dancers will get destroyed down state. Neal's brute and Brownfield's zombie style will keep the scoring close, but both will be in the consos very early. A pathetic display for two upper classmen.

Did Carr at 119 get beat or something?  I see he has dropped.

Talk to Coach Sash.  He has the hookups in this department!! lol

ture that i was sucked but he beat me so great job to that hopfully we will see each other one more time but great job. i am just happy i got that out of me before state. i sucked i will be the 1st person to say it

Did Carr at 119 get beat or something?  I see he has dropped.

i beat him  :-o

in that dream i had

but back to real matters ranger im sorry but im just going to stop saying what im wrestling at, but im back at 119 its going to be better for me at North Oldham next Saturday and at regionals, witch is the only thing we have left if anyone was wondering.

If I'm not mistaken Carr has only lost once this year winning numerous tournaments (Mater Dei, West Frankfort, Harrison, Brentwood) pinning almost all of his opponents.. Only taken down by Zarth and the #1 guy from Virginia (his loss came to him)...his record is atleast 30something-1.

Two years ago I would have wagered a great deal of money that Coty Lewis would never be ranked 30th in the state.  I would of lost.

Hey if the matchs were 30 seconds long he would beat anyone right now.....

30 seconds long and then a 3 hour break in between.

C'mon Coty, come back.

Two years ago I would have wagered a great deal of money that Coty Lewis would never be ranked 30th in the state.  I would of lost.

I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose but it almost seems worse that dropping totally out of the rankings.  I am not counting Coty out yet but based on last Saturday, losing 3 out of 5 matches, he is not ready yet.

i need at time machine

I know the talent is there, I think every does.  I am just not sure if there is enough time left in the season for him to get back to a good level of wrestling.  If I was a 130, I would still hate to have to go through him at state.

Agreed.  If he gets you in the first 2 minutes, you are done.  He has moves many wrestlers haven't even heard of.  If you can get him to the 3rd period, he is done.

Who all has Phil Harrison beat? I almost teched him when I first got eligable for 160. It might have been at JCTC. I don't think he scored offensively at all. I was just curious.

I was really waiting on the Danger to pride himself, you looked good,,,,, Yesterday! I like your posts. Do you do your homework,,,ever? Your GPA must be over a 3.43 second pin. lol

Newport beat scott last night 39-24

(11) John Hale beat (8)steve supe at 119

Kyle Hardin (FC) pinned Mark Payne (CHCO) in the finals of the Big East and was ranked higher than him last week.  What changed? did Payne beat somebody good?

Nope, just too many results floating around in my head.  The back and forth with Tennyson had me changing those guys around and I forgot about the Big East match.  I have fixed it.

i didnt know you was cutting weight well i guess your not right now but yelp

119 is really a toss up, Carr beat Zarth, but Zarth beat the Virginia kid Carr lost too. The only one unbeaten is Martin who beat Zarth.... soooo....

Did Zarth and Carr only wrestle once this season?

isn't Ben barger out to he didn't wrestle at south oldam

isn't Ben barger out to he didn't wrestle at south oldam

Ughh thats kind of a strange subject at this point guess everyone will juss have to wait an see how things unfold. Right now i think the best  explanation i can deliver is "were expierencing some technical problems lol"

I have a question, is Adomy (112 for KCD) going to be back this season? I saw him at the region 5 duals and he was sitting out, and I know he was out at the Valley as well, I haven't seen him wrestling lately.

i didn't know you was cutting weight well i guess your not right now but yelp

I wasn't cutting. It was just best for the team for me to wrestle up while we had some holes in the line-up. I was wrestlin 189/171 while I weighed about 160, 163 if I ate the morning right before weigh-in's. But yeah, I inside tripped him three times for back points and got a reversal and did some turning on the ground. He was on his back for the last half of the third in a guillotine, thought he was stuck but I guess not.

PC from Central is not out for the season.  He will be back for region.

Clayton Adamy has a broken thumb but will be back for regionals.

are you seriously arguing over the number 30 spot? lol :?

i think he was... thats pretty funny.

Eric Buchanon pinned Josh Willett from Union County. Nearly beat Agnew  the last time they wrestled. Agnew beat Armstrong. It really looks like 152 in region I is up for grabs. Its going to be a dog fight.....

130 is going to be rough in Region I as well. Skinner, Ervin, Bunch, Hogan, Martin and Martin. Two of these guys arent going to state.... :-o

160 wont be nearly as exciting with Wolseifer out for the season. THat would have been a heck of a match between Ervin and Johnny.

HWT Houston Croney seems to have seperated himself from the rest of the region I opponents. I cant believe that Rhinestine fell off like he did.

lots of surprises should be in store. State duals this weekend, Regional in two weeks, and State following.......LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

go buchanan, good job. goodluck hendo and union at state duals rep region 1...come out a winner

GOOD JOB ON THE RANKINGS!! I think our 130 Branden Wyatt should be at least 30th or somthing, our 152 Nelson Mason is pritty good to but I think the rankings look good, GOOD JOB Antonio and Cody!!

man that sucks johnny is an awsome wrestler

what happen to jonh W.

I was really waiting on the Danger to pride himself, you looked good,,,,, Yesterday! I like your posts. Do you do your homework,,,ever? Your GPA must be over a 3.43 second pin. lol

I have no idea what that means. lol. Please explain because I have no idea whether or not it was possitive.

I can't believe the 215 from Oldham Co. beat Jacob Bradford from Ryle. I still amazed.

I am pretty sure Chiba pinned Bradford twice.  Once in the quarterfinals and once in the conso. finals.

Am I going crazy or is there another Ranger123?  The one who posted above me shows a junior varsity level and yet the one who posted the rankings shows a global moderater or whatever level.  The karmas and # of posts are different as well.

If you look at his email profile, it is j.bollman - OC 125 parading as Ranger123

BUSTED  You could of at least hidden your email and not put your aim on here.  Make us work to figure you out!!

Nice catch.  I would think you couldn't use a screen name once it has already been selected by another.  I guess not.

I forgot to :-D now try and figure it out

Hop  Derrick Dillard beat Chr Co  Jeff White  twice this year how is Jeff ranked and he not?

State duals this weekend, Regional in two weeks, and State following.......LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

colonelcoach2007, Zach Rinestine hasn't fell off.  He just hasn't wrestled much in any of the same tournaments that CCHS has.  Nor has he had the opportunity to get a match with Houston.  First off he started the season late because the Falcons Football season went into Dec.  Then At the Christan county tourney he admittedly made a mistake and lost a match to a kid from TN.  He did later beat that same kid in the consolations.  He won the Calloway Christmas tournament.  He went to the GP West Invitational as the 1 seed and lost to the number 2 kid from Franklin TN in the finals.  He has only lost two matches since he started the season.  Last weekend he missed the Region Duals because he had pink eye.  He will also miss our own Blue Grey Duals because he must take the SAT test the same day.  He is practicing and training hard and has improved greatly from where he was last season.  He looks forward to hitting the mat with Houston as they seem to have missed each other througout the season.  One last thing, he is ranked on this forum below Tanner Flynn of Caldwell even though Tanner has never beaten him.  Of course neither of them have wrestled the other this season either.  I think the biggest reason he's dropped in the rankings is his late start and FCHS not going to some of the same tourney's as CCHS.

Hop  Derrick Dillard beat Chr Co   Jeff White   twice this year how is Jeff ranked and he not?

Who else has Dillard faced? Hoptown has backed out of tournaments this season.White has been to some tough tournies in Ky. and Alabama ,and has wrestled well.

I need to be able to post a pop-up audio file that says "if you don't like what you see, then beat someone ahead of you.  And you have to make sure your coach submits results to someone (this site or KWCA or a newpaper) or the win may not be noticed."  Don't complain after the fact when virtually noone outside region 2 (North Oldham is an exception) posts nearly complete results.  If you send me the info (before Wednesday) I will reflect it as long as you are a reputable member on this site.

You have a hard job...for what its worth, I have no complaints.  You are doing a great job.

I did do that, and nothing happened

EagleWrestler provided specific details of two people he beat who are ranked higher than him -- not trash talk.

Yes, that is good.  BUT, what I really hate is when someone whines "I beat wrestler A and wrestler B, why are they ahead of me?" and forgets to mention that they have a record of 2-99 and lost in OT to my 4 year old son.  You can't just mention your highlights.  BTW - I'm not saying that is the case here, but it happens a lot and that's part of the reason guys don't always jump up when they post something like this.

Jeff is in the 12th grade

"They have a record of 2-99 and lost in OT to my 4 year old son."

Sweet, little Ranger takes one in overtime.

Hey, what happend to John W.?

Jeff White beat Kyle Proffit and the stubblefield kid on thursday night at the dual between caldwell, paducah, and christian.

proffitt was out for 2 weeks with impetigo and his first practice back was wednesday, and he was out of shape real bad. that was his first match since the big east tourney

It's definitely not the case seeing as i also mentioned all of my losses at 130. and I definitely do have a winning record

20  Ohio Co  Tyler Boone  10

21  Bou Co  Jose Soriano  10

Tyler Boone beat Brent Feher again yesterday at the Ft. Campbell Duals

Robbie Sahms 119 from Ft. Campbell is out for the season he tore some ligaments in his elbow.

Man thats horrible. what grade is he in?

Scott's 215 or 189 had to have help off the mat at The dave Bean Classic, from what I heard he won't be back. Done for the season. If you havn't seen him he is a beast. I wish him the best.

He's a junior this year.

Must be there 215 because he is absolutely a animal on the mat.

preston shoopman from mccreary central beat cody mann from fern creek this weekend at danivlle

Bryce Alexander lost only one match at State Duals. It was to the number one ranked 135 pounder in the state. Bryce got down 8-0 early, but fought back in the second period putting Miller on his back for about :10. He almost got the pin. As the match faced its final seconds Alexander hit a reversal and was taking Miller to his back but time ran out. He only got one point for the escape. Very tough match. If their was :07 extra seconds in the match there might have been a very different outcome.

Chris Meriwether lost a 1-0 decision to Paden from Larue County. The one point was a questionable stalling call. Believe both kids got warned. Good match.

Senior Jackson Daugherty had a close match with Woodford County, and nearly pinned his opponent.

Brandon Brack shot a nice takedown on Woodford County and got his takedown. The boy later quit due to injury default.

Henderson did okay for a first time qualifying team with only a five year history. They won four matches against Woodford, scored 12 against Trinity, 18 against Larue (many close matches just went the wrong way) and 30 against Meade County.

Henderson is in no means an elite program yet, but this saturday looked very promising for the future.  Nobody gave up and alot was learned. They will be coming up in the near future. They will only lose three seniors this year. Bryce and Chris are only sophomores. State Tournament in February should be very exciting for this young team. :-D

Bryce beat Jacob Barton?

Bryce beat Jacob Barton?

No.  Barton did not wrestle against Hen Co.

Barton controlled is match with Luke again. He has stepped it up this year. Bryce's match with Matt Miller was awesome, just ran out of time..

22  Ohio Co  Andy Kiper

Kiper beat Overby 12-4 last saturday at the blue gray duals, kiper got beat by overby the first time they wrestled, he had cut too much weight but any ways im sure they will get to go at it again this weekend at the regional tune-ups

I realized  this weekend at the state duals that these rankings are seriously messed up.  Not really the rankings of people in the same region but different ones that havent faced each other.  I  can think of many examples to back this up.  First of all, there is no way Coty Lewis of Woodford Co. is ranked 30.  Even if he is out of shape or whatever the case may be.  I watched 2 or 3 of his matches and he had amazing technique and moves blocking takedowns easily and throwing people on their backs.  In my weightclass, 140, I have beaten #16 ranked and I also beat #15 ranked by injury but was winning before it happened.  I do not understand how #19 Ethan Medley is ranked lower than them. I wrestled him and got pinned in the 2nd.  Got caught but still got pinned.  I also know that Andy Kiper should be ranked a lot higher.  My only two matches with Clay Overbey have been close only losing by about one or two, yet, he is some how ranked 13.  These are just my first hand accounts of what I have seen and it has been on my mind for a while. This may all be bogus and there might be some kind of rock paper scissors philosophy involved, meaning this guy can beat this guy and not this one although the guy he beat can.  This is in no way an insult to anyone and please dont take it that way.

You wrestled Woodfords 140 backup, your horn doesn't toot as loud as you think it does. No insult intended.

Oh are you sure?  It was the first match of the day.

You have to consider that you are only going by who you have wrestled and how they did against you.  You also have to take into account how they did against each other and how they did against the rest of the state.  Ranger does update the rankings weekly and these rankings are for January 23rd and before.  They do not take into account individual results from the state duals.  If anything needs to be changed based on those results, they will be on the rankings for January 30th.  Sure he is going to miss a few here and there.  I don't see how he can get everything just right down to each spot with ranking 14 weight classes and 30 kids in each.  Nobody can do that.  However, these are pretty close and definitely better than the 2 alternatives (Nothing or the KWCA rankings).  Then again, I also think Kansas is better than Memphis, but Memphis is still ranked #1.  Hey Ranger, can you fix that one.

No offense but at state it really only comes down to the top 8, that is where people need to be worried about, not the 15th ranked kid lost to the 19th ranked kid.

It all comes down to whose in the spotlight really, the podium is always a goal for people.

The rankings will mean nothing come state tourn..ask Darwin Perez. He was out of the top 10 until the last week of the season and wound up 130 champ against a tough Matt Eck.

true true that was an amazing match

my favorite part was the wraped head lol

I just thought I would say that those ranking in 112 are messed up. Brent Feher apolo is ranked higher tahn tyler boone. thats some B.S  they have wrestled 3 times, and tyler has pinned him the 1st match, the 2nd brent was kicked out of the match for dropping elbows when he was cradled, and the 3rd tyler tecked him. So tylers ranking is wrong.  :-D

ranger doesn't know everything...i am sure that he will look into it...but coming out and calling it B.S is an insult to ranger imo

billy why didnt you go down to 215 since your only weighing 225

billy why didnt you go down to 215 since your only weighing 225

I have things that i need to accomplish at heavyweight and i feel comfortable with my weight

OK just wondering because you would be an absolute beast at 215

Ok. I wasnt insulting anybody. I understand, but that brent kid started elbowing tyler when tyler had him cradled and ended up chipping one of tylers teeth, and they made the brent boy pay for it.lmao :-D

Getting your tooth chipped is worth what, a spot and a half in the rankings?  And paying for it drops you 75% of a spot.  If I wasn't really trying to do this right I would pull both of you.

Thanks Dragon.  But I will say it is possible to get everything close to right, but it takes accurate reporting of results.  And everyone has to realize as well that there will always be situations where wrestler a beats wrestler b who beats wrestler c who beats wrestler a.  And the big upsets that shake things up.  I'm afraid I can't do much about your basketball issues.  And just typing the word basketball creates issues for me.

Jeff White Beat The Senca 171 and he beat kyle proffit

and Calvion Mcnealey placed third at North Hardin Invitational

Darryl Dobson beat Preston Lashley in the final wrestle-offs for 215.

Barger suspended for substance abuse and wolsifer out for grades=sucky because I want to se them both wrestle.  Come on coach get on them.  :x
