He broke his collar bone. He's done for the year. It happens, it's part of wrestling. No one at Christian Co. holds any ill will towards Matt. I told him(Matt) not to worry about it. Your son is a class act, I wish him the best of luck this year.
Man, I hate to see that. Can you tell the parents we are sorry that happen. I know that kind of stuff happens because it happen to Matt last year with his ankle. I am truely sorry and I know Matt feels bad about it as well. You never want to see anyone get hurt in this sport.
I've already talked to Cory's mom (his dad is in Iraq). She understands and appreciated the apology. She also understands that this is the unfortunate part of wrestling. Fortunatally Cory's a sophomore so he has two years left. Tell Matt not worry about it. Take care of yourself over there.
