Best wrestler in the state

Bebop Smith hands down. If you get caught in the Bebop Flop, it's lights out. It is the most deadly move in all of Kentucky wrestling.
Sullivan...without a doubt....look at all the records he holds
I'd have to go with Courtney. But there's a lot of close ones, so who knows. It just seems like every time someone doubts this kid he comes through.
Mitch Ervin, last years MOW. Hes only gotten better
Mason Reid hands down no other wrestler compares.
Mason Reid hands down no other wrestler compares.
This year -- It's Mason Reid.
Mitch Irvin fa sho
This year its Mason, but Courtney isn't far behind.
Elliott Martin and Harrison Courtney
the only thing they do is rape only

What would possess you to make you say something like that on here?
I don't think you can really compare wrestlers from different weight classes, but I think that Bryan Peace, Elliot Martin, and Andre Zeppa are some of the best in the state.
Zeppa beat Vinsant today at state duals, I'm seeing him taking state this year...
I saw that match. Zeppa got taken down at the beginning, but then reversed Vinsant, reversed him again in the second, and then took him down in the third winning it 6-2. So, after the first takedown, it was all Zeppa dominating the match.
I also watched Reid, Peace, Courtney, and Sullivan. Reid looks great, but could be a little quicker. Peace looks fast on his feet, but if pushed, I think he would gas (the only question is, can anyone push him?). Courtney looks dominant all over the mat! Sullivan looks unstoppable. Course, excluding his state finals match last season, he always has looked dominant. I heard something interesting - he has beaten the national record for consecutive wins!
not really at least not martin he lost to the #5 kid in the state millerElliott Martin and Harrison Courtney
the only thing they do is rape only
Aaron Carr-Union-119-pinning everybody for the last couple of weeks?
Jarvis Elam-Union-103-beating Bradybury again at the State Duals?
Mitch Ervin-Union-160-UNSTOPPABLE? Last Years MOW- Undefeated
I kno this is a little off subject but i see grant olhman bein a really tough competitor @ state. He's beatin alot of tough opponents like lweis & ervin so i see him having a running for a state title this year.
I agree with that, Grant is a tremendous wrestler. I have know him for long time, if not this year next year and the year after that for sure.
So knowing someone for a long time makes them a contender for the state title? lol. Grant is a really good wrestler, significantly strong.
Sorry to say but at dragon ohlman was controlled by johnson
hes 1-4 against Caleb this year.
wat ever happened to johnny from FC

BOP, we are all grateful for your use of the under armor. More heavy's should do the same.
Very few wrestlers (in KY or any other State, for that matter) can say they wrestled the #1 (at 12/23/2007) ranked wrestler in the nation url]http://www.intermatwrestle.com/high_school/rankings/hsrank0708_01.aspx in their weight class. Even though Mason Reid lost to the winner, Quentin Wright, at the Beast of East tourney, the experience was priceless against some stiff out-of-state competition so he gets my vote against some other very talented wrestlers in KY. His college future looks bright if he continues put himself in a position to probably lose with the advantage of gaining valuable mat time in unfamiliar venues.
Heres the link I messed up if your interested :http://www.intermatwrestle.com/high_school/rankings/hsrank0708_01.aspx.
Yeah I am going to have to go with Mason Reid, Bryan Peace and Harrison Courtney. Bryan and Mason for stepping it up and wrestling in some really tough tourneys that hardly anyone in KY have ever wrestled in. I hear Bryan is looking at some Ivy schools and Mason is looking at some D1 schools. Harrison has been tough since he was in middle school.
Yeah I wouldnt doubt it if Peace went to an Ivy League school, he has the brains to make it.

I'm kind of new at this, so correct me if I'm wrong, but Courtney placed 3rd last summer at junior nationals and has been ranked nationally before. So why do you think he has been left on this ranking?

he placed at nhsca soph nationals i believe. not the same as usaw's cadet & junior nationals. i'm not for sure, but the usaw's junior nationals "used" to be the most prestigious h.s. tournament in the nation. maybe nhsca soph, junior, & senior nationals has caught up to usaw's junior nationals...i'm not sure. it's still very impressive.
at any rate, i'd probably still put harrison up as #1 in this subject just because he's proven all the doubters so wrong so many times. but reid is an absolute force from what i've seen of him this year. ervin looked good at state duals, but i think he would look like a fly caught in a spider's web if he were foolish enough to bump up and take on reid.

My bad, it's kind of hard to enter the junior nationals when you haven't even started your junior year.
"Junior" in Junior Nationals is an age group(High School).
We have High School Nationals, Fr. So.
Junior and Sr. and Freestyle Nationals, which are in July
in Fargo(Cadet and Junior Nationals).
i think beau sanders is one of the best in the state, i think he couold possibly upset courtney this year. he wrestled up at 160 at the five star classic and still won the competition weighing close to 145. not many wrestlers can do that. hes very talented.

Beau is a great little wrestler but I don't believe he is within 10 points of Harrison. Beau competed well at 160, Harrison could win heavy weight if allowed to wrestle.

Courtney would win by 5 points max against Beau, and he would lose if he wrestled at 160, I'm not sure about 152.
from what i understand beau and courtney are rivals and everytime they wrestle it's really close. like two to three points close.
I cant recall it ever being that close.Courtney pinned him first time they wrestled a few yrs ago and beat him by 7 or 8 in regionals last yr and by 8 or 9 in state finals last year
Isaac Ervin also beat him pretty bad earlier this year, I'm not sure what the score was.
Isaac was winning 11-1 then pinned Sanders
Have Ervin and Courtney wrestled this year? There comes a time and a place that any one can win. You shouldn't write Sanders off just because he has been beaten by Ervin this year and Courtney in the past. Anything can happen at regions and state.
has sanders ever beaten courtney...and how many times have they wrestled???
i dont think courtney has ever been beaten by sanders, but then again i was wrong about their scores last year too, so i could also be wrong about this.
I don't think that Sanders is anywhere near Courtney's class.
He (Sanders) may make it to the finals again, and he may be able to keep the match close, but in no way will he be able to take control of the match and be able to win.
It seems to me Sanders wins matches because he is able to keep the match close and waits for his opponent to make a mistake. Courtney will make few mistakes and if he does he is able to compensate for them quickly. If Thuenerman could not close the deal and take the match to overtime last year, then Sanders will not come close to winning the match, but may keep the score respectable.
Sanders doesn't really impress me. I don't think he can hang with Harrison. In fact, I don't even think he'll make it to the finals.
Beau is a good wrestler and i think he will contend with Harrison and Isaac for the title at 145 lbs
whar weight class are you OneLung....Sounds like Beau might have beaten you before and you're scared of him!
i have only seen beau wrestle once this year at tates creek and he looked ok to me i dont know if he will make it to the finals though
well hasent he already gotten state runner up two years in a row to courtney? that has to prove something. im not saying he will beat courtney, but if anyone is to upset courtney this year i would say it's beau.
Im going to say Ervin would be the one to upset courtney.. like i said ervin pinned sanders this year.
some of my top picks as the top wrestlers i thought for sure john wolsifer, travis sullivan and i am really impressed with josh ahsbrook he is a a beast he can turn the match into his pace at anytime including beau sauders he si tough i think if wolsifer comes back from injury he will win it but pther then that sullivan is the best to beat he refuses to lose i know he had a bad finals match but he came threw and a title is a title so u cant take that away he wont be beat in ky and i think at senior nationals he will put on a show i wopuld love to see a kyle ruschell snior against su;llivan now that would be one for the ages
Im going to say Ervin would be the one to upset courtney.. like i said ervin pinned sanders this year.
i understand what you are saying, and it makes sense, but i think beau has gotten a lot better sense the season has progressed. i would look for it to be a different match if they wrestled again, maybe not a different outcome, but at least a lot closer.
I've not wrestled Sanders, but I've seen him enough to know his style. Quite frankly, I am not impressed.

Sanders knows how to win and thats what i am sure intends to prove...i would not be surprised if courtney was beat by him...I mean the patriots lost why can't he
I'm curious to why David Liberium was left out of the discussion, seeing as how he is the 1( ranked at 171...lol just kidding lets not get that started again I just wanted everyone to get a cheap laugh
I'm not saying that Sanders is a bad wrestler, in fact he's pretty good. I just don't think he's good enough to beat courtney. If Daniel couldn't do it last year, I don't think Beau can do it this year.
Didnt sanders get worked up courtney in the finals last year?
