andersons heavy weight should be 3rd. only losing to bailey and north hardin.

Pile should be 1st he handled shaq when they wrestled

Anderson's hwt isn't even ranked in Ranger123 rankings.

And I think that Shaq could come back with an upset on Pile.

he might not be ranked but he pinned nelson and central hardins heavyweights. these rankings should be based on the region duals not all on rangers rankings.

These brackets where poorly seeded this year very disappointed.

Never realized how deep 152 was in this region.  Thats going to be a tough weight class.  I would hate to have to be a region champ and have one of those top 4 first round at state.

So no Cody Wood for North? Wow that is some major team points gone. I still would not count North out of the title run. They have a strong possibilty of atleast 4 champs. I say three definite with Demery, Wolfe and Jones. I know that Wolfe lost a tight one with Newsome but I have a feeling Wolfe will not lose to him again I say this with no disrespect to newsome he has had a great year just my opinion that's all. The fouth one is between Haynes who will have a tough time and Wilder I think one of these guys pulls the upset and wins there weight and maybe both. I do realize that these are outside chances with alot of things having to fall into place for this to happen. Just my opinion and dreams as I am a North fan! John with all the champions they are gonna have will be very difficult almost impossible to over come but all things are possible if you have faith!

Drew Newberry has a torn supraspinatus. He did it in practice about 3 weeks ago. The Doctors advised him not to wrestle anymore this year. He (the doctor) said nobody could stand the pain & he would basically be going out with one arm.

Drew did not want to let down his team. He continued to go to practice each day. He tried to go at the State Duals & just didn't have it. A one armed 8th grader at 215.

He also wanted to give Middle School a try.

On Saturday he over came extreme pain & won not only a personal championship he also was informed by his coaches that for LaRue County to be 3 time state champs he would need to win by pin.

I know a lot of you were not impressed with his performance on Saturday.

I thought he showed true the true HEART & determination of a CHAMPION.

Drew will under go surgery Tuesday February 5.

His parents & team should be VERY PROUD>

God speed to Drew on his recovery. Hope he heals soon and comes back at full strength.

The first thing you look at when seeding is head to head. Since Sammy Isaacs has beat Webb, he is above him.  Des Jakes beat both of them so he is #1. Not sure if Marcell Haynes has wrestled any of the top 3 seeds.

If head to head is tied or the have not seen each other, it goes to common opponents W/L

All coaches are at or should be at the seeding meeting to fight for their kids, all coaches vote on the seeds after hearing who has did what.

Best record is not a criteria for seating. It is region record Head to head competition first and then other criteria.

Each region can adopt their own criteria for regional seedings.  However, most regions use what the KHSAA suggests and it is in order of criteria:

    A) Head to head competition b/w contestants.

    The record against common opponents.

    C) A contestant with a better overall record.

    D) A contestant with an exceptional record against acknowledged strong competition.

    E) A returning champion or runner-up in the same weight class.

I don't know if Region 2 used this set of criteria or not, but I believe this is what we are using for Region 3.

Anderson's 189 John Haddix is moving to 215 and is better than ft KNox.

Region 2 has 8 teams in it: LaRue Co, John, North, and Central Hardin, Fort Knox, Anderson Co, Nelson Co., and Danville. The reason for some weight classes having only 5 or 6 wrestlers in it is because Danville and Fort Knox do not have full squads, so they can't fill all weight classes.

they are seeded all the way. this will change next year.

last time they wrestled isaacs tech pinned trent webb so who knows...

maybe someone should redo the predictions for region 2 now that the brackets are out because there are now some changes as to who will make it to the finals or not
