Hello. I am originally from Campbellsville, Kentucky but am living in the Richmond, Va area at the moment. I wrestle for my high school here and want to continue it in college. I'm a junior but I am moving back to Campbellsville this summer for my senior year. I'll be attending Taylor County High and they do not have a wrestling program. I plan to go to Campbellsville University and wrestle for them tho. What are the chances that CU will let me wrestle if I don't wrestle my senior year? I hold a USA Wrestling card and compete in their events off season with my schools wrestling club and compete in mixed martial arts events. Can anyone give me some help  to help me find a wrestling program I can participate in my senior year? I think it would be region 2. Thanks

Unfortunatley you can only wrestle for the High School that you go to.  You may want to check out the Kentucky High School Athletic Assoc. website and look at the Bylaws.  The site is www.khsaa.org.  I do not live in that area so I am not aware of other clubs that they may have that are outside High School.  Good Luck to you.

If you want to wrestle in college, you should really, really try to find a school in that area that has a wrestling progam.

What does it mean to wrestle as an independent?

Isn't it where someone wrestles for their highschool when they don't have a program. 

I wrestled for my highschool when I was a senior and I was the only one on the team that year.

Never really understood how we were able to do that.

Why don't you go to a neighboring county, like LaRue County or Nelson County?
