whose coming this year?
FT. Campbell
Hopkinsville will be there, and last year i feel like I remember seeing trinity??? Its always been a nice tournament, sorry i can't remember other teams
past years: trinity, christian county, cambell? maybe, hoptown, caldwell, union, manual, doss...
trinity wont be there i dont think but campbell will union will most of the region 1 teams and franklin tennessee will be there (i believe they were state champs in tennessee last year.)
Franklin is very good team and Ryan Konz at 135 and Kelly Felix(State Champ @135) at 145 are ranked #1 in Tennessee and 119 Dustin Ortiz and 152 Jonathon Heacock are also ranked in Tennessee. Kelly Felix is just like Murton quick and very smart. Franklin is not top in Tennessee this year but still a very excellent team. I will be interested in seeing Mitch Irvin go against him.
This year's CCI teams:
1. Apollo, KY
2. Bullitt Central, KY
3. Caldwell Co, KY
4. Calloway Co, KY
5. Campbell Co, KY
6. Christian Co, KY
7. Creekwood, TN
8. Doss, KY
9. DuPont Manual, KY
10. Franklin, TN
11. Fort Campbell, KY
12. Henderson Co, KY
13. Hopkinsville, KY
14. Kenwood, TN
15. Lexington Lafayette, KY
16. Montgomery Central, TN
17. Northeast, TN
18. Ohio Co, KY
19. Pleasure Ridge Park, KY
20. Sycamore, TN
21. Union Co, KY
Campbell Co will be, and it will be their varsity.
excellent line up, I just wish could be there!
Question: will this be a two day event?
University Heights will be there also
i think its weigh ins friday night and its a one day tournament on saturday
Can anyone verify what dps125 has said?
It's never been that way before.
National Federation rules say you have to have same day weigh-ins.
Aright, thats what i was thinking..
(Bodylock, check u pm's)
It's never been that way before.National Federation rules say you have to have same day weigh-ins.
I couldn't find it, but I believe that the NFHS rules say that dual meet weigh-ins are to take place 1 hour before the meet and 2 hours before a tournament.
21 teams in a day???? How are they gonna do that? Pools or something? I remember it wasn't that bad last year, but I don't think it was 21 teams. But I could be wrong. Naplesme, care to enlighten me? or anyone for that matter.

Yes, it is 21 teams, I know that's alot, but it has always been this way and some of those teams don't offer full line-ups. With the proper information sent in by all the teams we should be able to avoid the five match rule as much as possible.
Got ya, thanks man.

How is christian county looking this year?
Young: one senior, 2/3 juniors, lots of Freshman and Middle School starters. That's ok, they're starting to come together, not sure how much noise we will make this year, but we should make some in the next couple years, but only time and how hard they work will tell.
sorry, i didn't get my facts right sorry everyone
does anyone kno who is seeded at 189 or any seedings in that case
All I know so far?
-140 Ft Camp Matt Mines over Un Co Miles Risinger DEC and Miles pinned Laf Nick Coomer in the SEMIS
-145 Franklin (tenn) over Un Co Mitch Ervin, Mitch hurt his ankle I hear
-160 Cody Walls won as well and MOW award
i think at 189 brandon carter was seeded #1 , Matt Green #2, franklin county was Seeded 3 and i don't know about 4. I heard that matt green won it. i also heard that brandon carter got beat by union county why didn't he finish the tournament
Carter had injured his ankle at the Jefferson county tournment and tried to go this weekend but the ankle went out and his coaches pulled him from the rest of the days wrestling so he wouldn't injury worst
Jason Hardin won 275 pinned all everyone to the championship. I think he wrestled 4 matched and he won all 4 in under 2 minutes one was 13 seconds another was 20 seconds he was awsome down there A MAN ON A QUEST
union county won the tournament with 228 points and Franklin, TN, had 221. Adam Carr and Chance Puckett pinned all of their guys. Isaac Ervin lost to Dustin Ortiz from Franklin 8-5 in finals. Miles Risinger lost to Matt Mines(Ft. Campbell) 7-3 in the finals. Mitch Ervin (UNION 145) was winning 6-2 in the second period against Franklin's 145 Kelly Felix (state champ) but hurt his ankle and had to stop the match. Cody Walls(160) of caldwell county was the MVP. Richard Coleman (215) UNION was pinned byEric Frazzitta of Kenwood, TN, in the finals. But, Ohio Counties heavyweight Adam Burdin was pinned by Union's Robert Dunn in the 3rd place match in the first minute. That was a suprise.

Mitch beat Wilsons 7-5 in the semi's
Thanks Naples!! Good win for Ervin and Union Co. Hope his ankle is not as bad as it seems. Surely he can get healthy before District.
it was a good win, and i'd like to see a rematch, especially since union was down the whole match and put campbell on his back in the final minute to win by a few points
Did walls and hildreth wrestle?
no walls did not wrestle hildreth. hildreth got pinned by chris george from kenwood.
Yeah, i was told that kid handed it to Hildreth.
Yea, George was a beast, I was really suprised with Kenwood this weekend.
It looks as if the Christian Co invitation just may change those minds about region 1 wrestler. I believe we are looking good in certain weight classess
Walls teched the kenwood kid in 3:26 (18-3)
UNION COUNTY won first place!!!
but i have to say that the teams from tennesse did alright?????
Yes, Franklin must of not had a full team; a team with 5 champs and 1 runner up normally win it. Union had 2 weight class champs and 3 runners up. I suppose they must of gotten there points earlier the day. Plus pins, tech all add up at the end
