i know the hunnington team i think from west virginia had a lot of people almost their whole team place if not in the finals they looked really good.

How did the Parker/Wasson match go ? I would have liked to seen Rust/Parker as Rust/Peace was a good match at Conference. Too bad Rust couldn't wrestle all his matches ... toughing out stomache flu to contribute to the team effort in duels. He was 2-0 and sat out his Tates Creek match cause he couldn't settle his stomache.

The Christian Co kid taking Wasson to double OT is noteworthy. Wasson very well may place (6-8 range).

But i think Campbell Co not embarrassing itself in the duel against South Oldham .. they neck and neck until 171 ... shows the rank of 20th is just plain outrageous.

15-3 was the parker - wasson match i didnt get to see it cuz i had just got off the mat with my match but just enough time to see the score.

I agree...tought CC (Phyillis was awesome) made a great showing and IMHO the five star should have been evidence enough to solidify LaRue as the #2 team since Harrison outdistanced South as well to take third. I'm not sure but didn't Corydon Central also pass up SO for fourth?

I wish i could have seen the Banks/Wilson match. I heard the takedown to put banks up 3-1 was debatable. But congrats to Banks ... i'm sure it was a great match from two great wrestlers.

Speaking for LaRue, we had a good tournament since we were on the opposite pool from Hunington and had to wrestl their kids in the semis instead of the finals. We won all of our heads up matches against them except for one and had our 119 not got an illegal slam against the Layfette kid in the third place match we would have tied them and could have won the tie-breaker.

All in all a good day for Kentucky wrestling since we made good showings in most all of the weight classes especially with LaRue's performance.

No he didnt get beat, he hasnt wrestled for atleast 2 weeks. He was on crutches at Jefferson county and was still out for the Big East, but he told me that he would be back soon.
