I'm going to start off my post this week with a brief editorial. How can we expect to increase the suppport of our sport and grow interest if we don't support it ourselves. This weekend was one of the better meets of the regular season, the 5 star classic, which featured 4 of my top 10 teams and numerous highly ranked individuals. BUT, as far as I can see, received absolutely no media coverage. At a minimum there should be a piece in the box scores if not an article discussing the great matchups, including top out-of-state competition. But no, we blow a chance to get our kids names in the paper and the recognition they deserve. I guess it is more important to save that space for the early rounds of the Australian Open or local bowling league scores.

103 Jon Voth lost to Adam Carr 2-1 and beat Dan Smith 13-7 for 3rd place. He should have been the 2nd seed.

cory spencer is now at 103 and beat me in the finals at bourbon this weekend. he is by far the biggest 103 in the state but i dont think he can beat sullivan.

It's my understanding that Tommy Warren of Fern Creek is no longer in the varsity line-up. J. Burkett was their 103 on Jan. 14 at the Knights' Classic in Aurora, IN. This came from Caleb Wood. Conner and Ryle were also there.

At 215 Hunter Ead from PLD beat the Doss guy by I think a major decision at Big East. He should be ranked a few spots higher.

The reason that Jones is 2nd is because he pinned Rupp both times. Rupp won his by decision.

I think Harrison's 145 is Corey Ward, He's tough, Bryan Ford from South Oldham only beat him 4-2 in a very close match, Ward should be up there in the rankings atleast top 10. I think he pinned Muhammed an Quigley in the first also.

oghrdz1212 - the current 112 rankings for these guys are based a lot on the Jeff Co. tournament. Coach Coomes sent out the brackets to all coaches (thanks Coach Coomes!!!). Burkett is now at 103. Lile lost to Higgs in the consilations and Marksbury turned it on. Big tournament results carry a lot more weight with me.

On a last minute maneuver (hit a Peterson for all 5 on a single move i heard) ... the Campbell guy was up like two or 3 with time running down. But congrats on the win ... i hear it was an even match.

Coleman seems to be looking tough again, he's a guy once he gets going he could be a tough out at state. He did wrestle Scott close last year and beat Thuneman before state. Granted he lost a couple earlier this year, then again wasn't he was trying to cut to 125 at the time ? He beat Rust in a close finals match at Christian Co this weekend (4-2). But maybe he should beat Bowlds or Jackson before he moves up appreciably in rank.
