Derek Nickel (215) Doss beat Richard coleman (union county) 14-4 at big east and didnt wrestle him at christian county because of crappy seeding which should have went the other way because coleman got the 1 seed because it was done by commitee.

They are now 2-1 in favor of Kelly.

#1: LaRue beat Woodford. (It doesn't matter if woodford was missing starters, the fact remains, LARUE BEAT WOODFORD!!)

#2: In my opinion, after watching both Union and Trinity wrestle, Union should be the higher ranked team.

nathan speck from laf has beat pitcher from john hardin 7-1 i think and has wrestled the kid fron campbell 3 times and has beat him twice, and the one he lost he got called for a defensive pin the first weekend of the year

I saw him at a private camp at Cumberland College over the summer. He was my drill partner and looked greatly improved since last year.

dscicle - first the team rankings are my estimation of state tournament finish, not a dual meet finish. I created a formula to calc a team score based on the rankings.

#1 - I know Larue has beaten Woodford. And I know Woodford will be improved this weekend, but so will Larue. Bottom line, if Larue beats Woodford again that doesn't change my team rankings (except to the extent the individual rankings change). Right now, Woodford has too many #1 and #2 guys to lose in Frankfort.

#2 - You could be right. I have Trinity, Fern Creek (with Wood back), and Union in a virtual tie for the #4 spot. Regional finishes and the draw will determine the order for these 3. Fern Creek has to deal with South Oldham and Eastern. Trinity basically has Seneca and St. X. Union only has Caldwell. It sounds like advantage Union.

I don't think the team rankings are based on who beat who in a dual or tournament. I think Ranger123 bases it on how many wrestlers for each team are ranked and how high each wrestler is. There are only five weight classes where LaRue is ranked higher than Woodford. Based on this Woodford has to be #1.

I could be wrong with the way Ranger123 does the rankings, if I am please correct me.

Everbody is entitled to their opinion, but in the last 2 weeks Trinity has won the Big East(w/o Clark) and the Dragon(with Clark), does that not count for anything? I'm sure they don't mind. Rank 'em lower, they're a football school anyway, right?

bodylock - The Big East was down this year, so no that didn't show me a lot. Now the Dragon was pretty impressive, even w/o Woodford. But what more are you looking for? They aren't top 2; Woodford and Larue are head and shoulders above everyone else. Maybe you can argue #3 over South, but that's all.

i think in region 7 the top 2 are coomer from laf and sanders from harrison, but the other two spots are a toss up, any of these kids could go, prolly one of the toughest weights in a region tourney in the whole state

At 135, I don't know who's beaten who and all that, but Ashbrook looks like a tough wrestler to me. I would count on him being in the state finals this year, or at least advancing until he meets Murton.

Poole from DeSales beat seeders at fairdale on the 25th. Poole doesn't get alot of credit. He should be ranked higher in my opinion.

At the Franklin county tournament Poole and Bryant wrestled in the finals. Bryant won 7-4 but it was quiet a good match. Poole has wrestled alot of good wrestlers like Baines from St. X and Bryant from Mc Central and he has only lost to them by a few points. I think that these bunch of fellas will do great at state. 8)

I also watched the match between Poole and Bryant.

You need to get the score right, you have posted two different scores... which both are incorrect. The score was 12-7 and Bryant got a last second takedown to make it 14-7.

Were they the 125 and 130 pounders ? Ben Rust would likely have beaten or pinned Simon's varsity 130 if the guy he pinned (you left that one out) wasn't their varsity. If thats the one, i don't see him figuring in to a duel rematch scenario. Simon also lost to Campbell Co in the conference duel.

If you're talking about 125 and 140, don't write off Campbell's 140. He's young, but very well may have won the match.

I wonder if the 171 wrestlers you ranked #1 and #2 doubt your rankings. Yesterday at State Duals both their teams suspiciously forfeited that weight class each time their team wrestled against the #3 wrestler in that class while wrestling. Starks and Jones wrestled all their other matches while denying Rupp a good match.

eagle pappy chill out why are u getting mad. Who cares what the reason is if someone didnt wrestle. More than likely they will see each other at state expecial if rupp is as good as ur selling him to be.
