Did Ruschell choose to go up a weight class (149), or did Tanelli move down and beat him in a wreslt off?

Steve

Tanelli moved up from 133 and Ruschell moved to 149

149 is loaded!  Kyle will have to bring his A+ game to be AA with that group of studs.

Steve

Ruschell moved up......a decision made by him and his coach.  Tanelli had absolutely nothing to do with it.  The two of them have not had to wrestle off this year or last year.

im actually looking forward to ruschell and metcalf in the finals....

heard kyles been chillin with louden

I look for Metcalf to beat Burroughs from Nebraska in the finals.  Burroughs is just as explosive as Jenkins from Penn St but has better conditioning.  Since Schlatter has moved up this season the challenger for Metcalf is wide open.  I don't think Caldwell's style will get him through the meatgrinder at NCAA's to the finals.  Palmer from Ohio St would be a safe pick because he's hard to score on but he has trouble scoring against the top guys as well.

I did, before I saw this, and I still don't think Caldwell will make it to the finals.  Him beating Ruschell doesn't mean much in this weight class in terms of winning it all.  The top wrestlers at 149 are on another level than 141.  if Ruschell had stayed at 141 I would consider him a darkhorse contender to win it all but at 149 he's a darkhorse just to make it on the podium.

yea i think he should have stayed at 141...caldwell will wrestle metcalf at the all star dual pretty soon..
