Region 7 Duals will be taking place Dec. 22nd and 23rd at Bryan Station High School. What are your predictions and interesting match-ups you hope to see?

Well jus got word that Super Duals will be hosted by Lafayette. Sorry for any inconvience that may have caused. With that aside lets hear some predictions.  :-D

lol nice one sheeves, anyway i think the top four teams will be henry clay, tates creek, woodford county, and dunbar. any individual matchups anyone wants to see? personally myself i cant wait to wrestle joe and travis from woodford. i want to watch brandon abney and pat milford wrestle at 103. 112 would be fun to watch the epic zac lenz rematch. at 112 i also am curious to see how will goes up against both wrestlers, hes a strong kid at 12.

Semones is wrestling 189 this year but has bumped up to 215 in a match or two. I heard he's been real sick and probably won't even be in their lineup at duals.

Mack Logsdon is definately not a 1st year wrestler. He's been behind Shane Parks and Ethan Miller for the past 2 years.

Don't sleep on Harrison Co., for Saturday. I haven't heard much about them, but they are tough this year. I see them moving on into the second day. I see it as this: Pool 1- Woodford Co., Harrison Co., Henry Clay in Pool 2 I see it as Tates Creek, Dunbar and Madison Central.

yeah logsdon has been working hard the past three years, its just hard to be varsity when you have a state runner up, and state champ ahead of you...

but aside from that, i still feel hes going to get worked by zarth...

i think zarth will never be in trouble when wrestling logsdon but mac is a smart wrestler and should do ok i dont think he will score offensively though

cody ward upset some kids last year so yeah i wouldnt count him out but is thompson at 130 or 135?

idk i think guiler will dominate everyone in region like last year.

Logsdon and the rest of the Woodford team are going to surprise some people.  Just because they have a lot of former reserves in the line-up doesn't mean they can't keep the streak going.  I'm going to predict that Woodford will have at least 6 placers and two more will sneak in that nobody knows about yet

103 is the biggest fluke weight class available in kentucky. this opinion is coming with no bias at all because i wrestled 103 my freshman year.

i dont feel 103 is a fluke persay, but most of the competition is just very young. so it makes it an easy weight to place at, 112 isnt a huge step up in competition either...just my opinion

yeah i thought about adding in the 112 thing, but then i thought about Travis Sullivan. I guess he got so used to the 103s that he couldn't handle the extra strength? and believe me for those of you who have never went from 103 to 112, the strength difference is unbelievable. you wouldn't thank so but it really is.

i know of a lot of 215s that are stronger than hwt's though. with the exception of maybe jordan whiting. alot of hwt's are just blobs nowadays. its just whoever falls on top of who first wins.

Yea I heard that Lenz is thinking of going pro in ping pong after state this year. I have seen some of his matches in ping pong and there have been some scouts from China there!!!

Does anyone have the first day's schedule?

I really want to see Woodford/Henry Clay/Harrison Co. slug it out. Also the fact that Lafayette/Bourbon Co. and Franklin Co. are all in the same bracket with them is going to make a tremendous first day. It's been a long time since wrestling was this competitive in the 7th Region. There is no clear favorite and that makes it so exciting that a lot will be riding on every single match and minute. Any help with the brackets would be much appreciated from a fan of central Kentucky wrestling.

im telling you woodford is going to get there. i know they have a number of holes, but they just always seem to pull it out and have kids that step up from out of nowhere. i wouldn't be shocked if they did end up at 3rd, but i just wont believe it until i see it.

if ever there was a year for them to do it, it would be this year, its arguably tates creek's best year in a long time as well as woodford's worst year.

woodford not making it would be the first time in a long time.

Some of the older folks may correct me but I think Woodford has been to every state dual tourney ever held.  Pretty sure Parks was the one who jumpstarted the format yrs ago.

The biggest news of the tourney was probably Franklin Co. beating Henry Clay.  FC looks tough and is only getting better.

Harrison Co in my opinion did exceptionally well due to the fact they were forfieghting 3 weight classes and 2 people didn't make weight.

Yeah he beat me  :-(  i had a pretty solid lead through out the match and just ran out of gas. i was up 16-12 and ended up getting gator rolled with less than 10 seconds. final score was 17-16
