I will not be coming back by the regional tournament. I have to have surgery today and my wrestling is completely over.

I would just like to thank everyone on here for making the season fun and keeping things interesting between matches these past few years.

I wish everyone the best of luck and even though it's killing me to give up what I love the most, i'll be at state this year heckling the refs and causing all kinds of mischeif in my wheel chair.

So, don't be a stranger, Ranger. I may be crying when you see me but I always except handouts [food, money, fast women].

Good luck in the marines Dusty.  You have been without a doubt one of the most interesting characters on this site!!  Somehow you made me believe I was gonna see a kid in long johns at the top of the podium this year.

Sorry to hear bout your surgery, you will do fine with whatever you choose to do!

Tore a bunch of stuff in my knee in a match. The only reason I even kept wrestling after that was because the kid was thrashing me and I managed to get a pin with almost no time left in the third with one leg. So I kept  going. The next match pretty much destroyed it. I'm truely sorry for my selfishness to my team and my coach.

All I wanted was to give something back to my coach after all these years. This was the year and I let him down. I don't know if i'll ever be able to forgive myself.

Forgive yourself for what? If you can know that you did the best you could and gave it your all, then so be it. Life goes on, now you just have to do your best a something else.

I've seen a lot of kids suffer serious injuries (ie require surgery) and 9 out of 10 will not continue a contest/match or game. the fact that you conintued to work to help your team is a testament to your will. You had know way of knowing how much damage you had done, so you should not be beating yourself up. I hope your surgery goes well, and if you work as hard on your rehab as you did on the mat you will be just fine. God speed and good luck!
