We will have 6 wrestling surfaces with 6 certified referees.

Just a reminder to Region 4 youth coaches, we need your roster information by Saturday Feb. 21st.  See Below

Where:  Montgomery County High School 724 Woodford Drive, Mount Sterling, Kentucky 40353

Weigh-Ins/Registration:  All registrations will be through pre-registration no later than Saturday February 21st 2009.  Weigh ins will be 7:00-8:00 Friday, February 27th 2009 at Montgomery County and remote locations are permitted as long as two opposing coaches are present. Awards:  Top 4 places will be awarded medals in each age/weight division

Top 3 finishing teams will be awarded trophies.

Scoring (One team score per age/weight class)

1st Place: 4 team points

2nd Place: 3 team points

3rd Place: 2 team points

4th Place: 1 team point

YOU MUST WRESTLE IN THE REGIONAL TOURNAMENT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE STATE TOURNAMENT!!!

Wrestler Check In: 8:00am to 9:00am (Validation of age at this time)

Scratch Meeting: 9:00am to 9:30am

Wrestling at 10:00am

Entry Fee:  $10.00 per wrestler,  Pre-registrations ONLY!!!  All registrations must be received no later than Saturday, February 21st.  Wrestlers must make their registered weight.  There will be NO refunds and no bumping up for wrestlers that do not make weight.

Eligibility:  All Wrestlers MUST be twelve years old and under as of January 1st 2009, currently attend school in Kentucky, and maintain physical residence in the state of Kentucky.  Coaches/parents must bring a copy of most recent report card in case of eligibility challenges  Tournament director reserves the right to decline registration for any wrestler.

Well balanced region. Congratulations.

I really enjoyed the tournament yesterday it went by rather quickly and that is a plus. I was also happy for our boys from Madison Co. they had a great day and I hope they each do as well in the state tournament.

Standing ovation to montgomery co.  The regionals not only went smoothly but also very fast, i even made it home to see that cats loose. (boy did i miss that old fat drunk JOe B. ) On the serious side  i cant wait to see how the wrestlers from region 4 represent at state.  I wish all of our region the best.
