Which one has more bragging rights?
With the state tournament, it comes down to the luck of the draw, especially after going to a 32 man bracket.
With state duals, it is your team against their team.

I would have to go with the State Tourny, because not only does that give your team a title, it also gives individual wrestlers some credit, and awards, its also hard enough to lose a match and fight your way through conselations and actually place, thats a difficult task, plus if your team wins it probably means you had atleast 1 state champ, which is a great accomplishment for anyschool, let alone a whole state title, i think it is more enjoyable for the team aswell with how the state tourny is set up, its just a great feat to win it, i think alot more then the Duals, thats how i see it personally
I personaly prefer the state tourney. The state duals to me is not about wrestling. In the article with Canter, he stated that his 103 could have won the match but he wrestled conservative to win the dual.
Wrestling is an individual sport that collects points for the team. If you have someone wrestling not to get beat bad it's not what I want to see.
I also do not like the jumping and juggling of wrestlers between classes that occur at the state duals. Pick a wt. and stay there.
I was part of a team that won many duals (no state duals at the time) and a state championship team. Also was part of a coaching staff that won both.
Once again this is just my opinion.
The duals are a nice tune up, thats about all. There are only two tourneys that matter during the scholastic season: Regionals and State, everything else is just mat time.
State ... no doubt. In duels all these juggling weight class games get played, and it state its just about what team's static line up comes out on top.
