OK, this is really shaping up to be a two horse team race.  Who wins the 2009 state wrestling title?

Were is Trinity?

Did you forget a team called trinity :?

Were is Trinity?

U must type faster than me. :-D

How about Campbell county? They have got some good draws and have 11 qualifiers.

97 WPM average (accurately)

if u think trinity is not a horse in this race, then u r crazy

i think they are but i think wat he is trying to say is that these two teams have more kids coming that will not just be in the finals but will also give them points by placeing the top 8

I believe Trinity sent 13 people while Ryle sent 11 and Union only sent 9. So it would make more sense that Trinity would get more placers

wat a bout wood they got a lot going too

Ryle is sending 14, Campbell County is sending 11

so whos gona win state as a team?

Most likely Trinity, they have pretty much 4 people set to win state. With enough depth to hold off Ryle or Union or Campbell

Union has 11 kids going to State. Maybe you were thinking 9 because that is how many they had in the finals.

Ya most likely, I only closely counted Trinity. I shouldve double-checked Ryle and Union too before I posted

Fair enough.  I think Trinity has three sure bets to win.  I personally think Ryle will win the team title.  I think no one in the state is close to Fahy from Trinity at 103.  However, if Ruschell makes it to the finals, there is not a huge point spread, and Ryle could have 9 placers from their team.  OK, I have Trinity in the poll now...

Game On!!!

Based on Rangers rankings:

Trinity has Four probable Champions 103, 112, 171, 285 and possible a fifth finalizes 145

Ryle has One Champion 189 and possible four finalizes 103, 119, 125, 189

Union has One Champion 152 and possible two finalizes 125, 130

Campbell CO has two possible champions 140, 145 and a possible finalizes 215

Percentages % say Trinity is a close favorite :-D

That's why we wreslte the matchs one or two upsets or surprizes could have a big swing for Ryle

I agree with what you say about Trinity having a slight advantage before state starts but to say that Jordan Whiting and Myron Bradbury are guaranteed state champions and Caleb Ervin and Aaron Carr aren't is a little off. Caleb and Aaron are much further above their competition than Jordan Whiting. Everything else I agree with.

I have to agree with pride on this.

I would half to agree that trinity will win the team title this year. I got to watch them wrestle at regions, And they were very impressive. If they bring there A game like they did at regions. Then my oppinion would be them winning.

Is anyone other than Ryle taking all 14?  Of the 14 they have 8 champs and 3 seconds... gives them a leg up I'd say.

No one is guaranteed a state title; as we saw with Sullivan last year.

I feel Bradbury is a stronger favorite than Whiting

Bradbury - experience and skill are a step ahead of:

2  Way Co  Luke Troxell

3  Chr Co  Dee Leavell

Whiting - experience and all the big guys you can never tell :?

Caleb, is the favorite, but:

2  SK  Steve Norbury

3  JH  Jordan Murphy

are both capable of an upset,

Arron a little less favorite, maybe even alittle tougher these three:

2  Ryle  Austin Palmer

3  CH  Kyle Terry

4  NH  Terrance Demery

I think at upset (if you will) is more probable at 125,130 than 112 :-D

8+3=11 for Ryle...Trinity had 12 in the finals.  The region 4 finals face off must have looked like a Trinity dual.  :-D

Ryle also had 3rd and two 4th placers.

I see this being a very close race between Ryle and Trinity.  I think Trinity finished ahead by 4.5 pts at Raider Rumble and Ryle won at Dragon by around 3 pts.  Union is only bringing 11 and I don't see them as strong this year as in the past and not at the same level as Ryle and Trinity.

it really don't matter if you bring your whole team...they have to place to get points, and come saturday morning in the 4th Round Consolations is were it will be won. Like Union did last year with 7 guys coming through to place 3rd-8th.

IMO Trinity will win the state title.  That being said all the pressure is on them.  The 4 main horses have to win.  If anyone of them don't, they can be beat.  I thought Bradbury was the most likely to lose but with Lenz out I don't see that happening.  Good luck to all the horses in this 2 horse race!!!
