Who do you think is the most improved wrestler?

I think jackson from fern creek is

Houchens from South oldham. As such a young man he has tremendously improved from his last year, becoming such a force this year. Expect big things from this young man, I will not be suprised when he wins his first state title, and I expect he shall win two to three.

Justin Mayes from Woodford, you have to remember that this is only his second year of wrestling, and he's already ranked in the top six. Expect him to place top six this year and win a title next year.

My next selection would have to be Will Starks also from Woodford (I don't get to see many other wrestlers). Placed 7th last year at 160 and is currently undefeated in state and ranked #1. Will win it this year and the next.

I agree Allamerican157. Starks is a very improved wrestler. However, is there really that much competition at 171? Seems lukewarm to me. I may be wrong though.

I would say that Goolsby from holmes gets a nod here too. Especially coming from such a small program.

Why is it unusual from a small program? As I mentioned in another thread. Chaffin, Murton's, all were able to do it.

I would also mention that Holmes, although placing last almost every year in their region has had 3 semi-finalist in the last 3 years. All this while having 5-10 kids on thier wresling team.

I think this speaks volumes about Region 6. The "worst" team in the region still gets wrestlers into the semi-finals of state.

you cant mention the murtons in a small program they are from OHIIO WOW!!! not to disrespect anything from kentucky wrestling but i dont think they have learned many new things since living in kentucky if anything it has hurt him for college and later life in wrestling career

I don't think its Goldsby, he was a semi finalist last year. If he improved that much again, he should be beating Thuneman no problem ... and he isn't. Basically what i'm saying is he was already plenty good.

from what I hear, Murton mostly wrestles in out of state tournaments and just shows up for a few big kentucky tournaments
