Who are the STUD Elementary wrestlers that will soon be wrestling at the Middle School level???

How soon? We have a couple of 5 year old kids who are taking the preschool world by storm! They are animals. Watch the local papers! Seriously. :-D

Our only kid moving up this year is Dustin Creech. He was last years 65lb.( pool B) State Champ in the 7 & 8 catagory. The age cut off was August last year, So he was 9 at the tournament. The year before was his first year and he placed 4th in the tournament against some pretty good wrestlers. That year they were grouped into 3 year catagories. I was impressed watching him against kids older and more experienced than he was. He is interesting to watch. He will do well in Middle School. State Champ by 8th grade.

Watch out for Michael Martin (Raider Youth).  He will be wrestling for Gray at probably 70 lbs.

I can't speak for some of the other youth programs, but I've heard that the Raider Youth program has several Stud kids that will be wrestling at the MS level in the next couple of years.

A few names that I've heard among coaches are:

Michael Martin, 5th grader, this kid is very good, he has great hips. I believe he was State Champ last year. The Martin kid, has a lot of potential, you'll hear about this kid down the road.

Mikey Meyer, 5th grader, I think he wrestled some MS for the Cooper Jaguars Club at 70lbs. Very good wrestler.

Grant Farwick, 5th grader I think. This kid is tough as nails, watch out for him down the road.

Blake Roth, he's a 3rd grader, 2X state champ, and I heard he's only lost 4 matches the past three seasons. I won't be surprised to see him wrestling some matches next year at the MS Level, this kid is good!

Shay Horton, he's a small little dude, but is a tough wrestler. 3rd grader as well. Elementary State Champ also.

Joey Scaggs, he was a MS State Runner-up this year, losing to AJ Binder 2 to 0. Scaggs has a lot of talent and I think he's only a 5th grader.

I've had the pleasure of seeing all of those kids wrestle and they are going to get better and better. They have more talent than just those kids. Raider youth is blessed with many good wrestlers. How they split between the two jr. high schools is going to be interesting

River City has a 70 pounder that wrestled will be one to watch out for (Trevor Bunker).
