ill say 103 was fun to watch at state everyone was so close in skill it made every match exciting. this statement is excluding fahy he was just fun to watch because he smashed everyone.

103 last year was much better and way more entertaining.

It all depends on who stays at the weight. I dont think Fahy and Wade are staying at 103.  I dont know abotu the rest of the Top 10

I would like to see Fahy go 119 or maybe even 125 next year.

Judging by body type and size this year the only 2 placers I see staying at 103 are Garth Yenter and maybe Pat Milford.  Wade and Nick look like they will grow too much to stay there Fahy will move as needed  Goff is gone  think bracco will move up  Not sure about Ruschell  My guess is he will move up the weight ladder.  Looking  back historically not many stay at 103 and history has a way of repeating itself.

Exactly what I was thinking. You have to at least make it to those kids in order to wrestle them.

So Fahy is for sure bumping up? I'm going to go on a limb and say Fahy bumps to 119 Bradbury goes 125 and Hitchings will go 130. To see Brad jump the weight classes he did it only seems right for his brother to shoot up.

I see Yenter, Marston, Milford, on the podium for next year.  The rest will be filled with people we haven't seen or heard of yet.  Much like this year was.  As far as Brocco, he will be much much stronger at 112 than 103.  Too much weight cutting.

If Fahy moves up in weight, Yenter should win state with no problem.

I think that garth tenter will make a good showing at state next year, however I believe that if pat Milford stays at 103 he will probably beat out yenter for a state title

I wouldn't say no problem but he will be in the mix.  He will still struggle with taller wrestlers.

If Ervin gains weight and ends up as Unions 103 pounder then he could be a high placer. He is 2-2 overall against yenter with his last victory coming in the state finals last year in middle school? or 2 years ago. Cant remember

What is the deal with this kid? I have heard people say that he is better than Fahy, but if he is 2-2 with Yenter than I would say obviously not. ukpridewrestler, can you help with this one?

Ive seen Brock wrestle and I can easily see him becoming the best of the Ervins, unless Caleb wins 3 titles. He isnt Fahy but he is definately good enough to place at 103 if he can at least make 95 pounds

brock beat garth last time they wrestled, when Brock was wrestling up. It was like 5-2 or something. Unless Brock gains at least8-10 pounds his dad isn't going to let him go 103 next year bc he only weighs about 87-90.

I would probably want to wrestle 103 next year if I was him, its looking kind of slender...

Thats interesting. Ervin got it done during the season, but Yenter got it done when it really mattered.

what's interesting is that the post is incorrect. 07 was right but in 08 Brock won at a regular season tourney and then garth bumped up and was stuck twice and majored once by logan wedding, brock's cousin, including once at the state semifinals, meaning garth and Brock did not wrestle that year at state, Brock being a champ and garth getting 3.

I may have gotten my dates wrong. I am not sure of the year that Yenter moved down here. I do know that the year may be wrong, but the facts are correct. I know both of these wrestlers and their families. Neither one of them would be on here bragging up their kids or making excuses for them. Such as moved up a weight. I was just trying to shed a little light on the situation. They are both very good and the match could go either way at any time. I remember now why I have always enjoyed reading this stuff, but have never posted. If I have disappointed one of the families or mis-represented something, I am truly sorry.

no harm. i didnt remember the results either. brock is just too small to go 103 at this pt. But luckily for all the 103's out there (excluding fahy), no one will have to face logan seeing he will be in Indiana. Kids a very talented wrestler. Maybe they will meet at Mater Dei or the Harrison Ten-Way tournament when Memorial wrestles Trinity

The Bear:  Brent hitchings is much smaller than his brother Brad was in the same grade.  In 8th grade Brent was 96, Brad was 140.  Brent is also smaller than Fahy and Bradbury.  Which makes what Brent did this year even more amazing. My guess is Brent will wrestle 112.  Fahy and Bradbury will go 119 and 125 depending on who grows the most.  I also predict Brent will win state by his junior year.
