Maybe this is a stupid questions, but, if you place high enough in your region and make it to state, how do they decide who you wrestle. Is it just like normal and you get seeded according to your record and whos beat you, or is it done differently.

Someone who got 1st in their region faces someone who got 4th in their region.
Someone who got 2nd in their region faces someone who got 3rd in their region,
Vica versa both ways.
1st place from region a is on the opposite side of the bracket from second place from region a. You couldn't face the guy you wrestled in the regional finals in the winner's bracket unless you both made the finals.
The 4th place guy from the region a is in the same half of the bracket as the first place guy from region a, and the 3rd is on the same side as the second place finisher from region a. I don't think you can draw anyone in your region in the first two rounds of the winner's bracket.
The 8 winners are put into 4 man brackets as the #1 seed in each randomly (kind of like college bb with twice the number of brackets), and the rest are filled in randomly based on those rules i think. Correct me if i'm wrong, this has only partially been explained to me and the rest is observation.
Yes a bracket will look something like this.
1 Region 3
4 Region 2
3 region 4
2 region 5
2 region 1
3 region 6
4 region 7
1 region 8
Each quarter bracket has every region in it. That makes it possible for the top 4 placers in one region to make it to the semi-finals.
Come Monday or so, KSHAA will post the computer break down for each weigh class. Most of the draw is pretty fair; but, one weigh class will be al screwed up based on draw and you will see a couple of the best kids match-up in the second or third rounds. It always happens. Someone will lose the region finals that you don't expect and match up with one of the top rank kids.
