Is this correct Lewis lost at 112 from Woodford??

yes but it was 4-3

Word around regionals had it that coty got a concusion early in the 2nd period. It most definately showed b/c it looked like coty didnt want to wrestle

it did not look like a concussion it just looked like all the weight cutting finally caught up to him he was dog tired by the middle of the second!!!

Now he drew Carmen(LC) first round!

i cannot believe the way the harrison people acted during the whole tournament. All day they were making people get off the floor and in the stands, but when one of their wrestlers were on a mat, it didnt seem to matter where their fans were. The worst offender of this was their bald coach, who all day did nothing but make people get into the stands, but while his kids were in the finals, he was yelling from behind the head table. For all you woodford county bashers, you have a new team to root against, execpt in past years harrison hasnt proved themselves at the state tournament. whereas woodford has multiple team state championships.

I guess you didn't happen to notice the usual Woodford crowd around the mat at finals, too.

Harrison ran a good tournament. I mean the day ran smoothley with no delays, and the finals began when they were supposed to. So I don't see what your complaining about. You must have had a bad day or something and don't get to go to state so your looking to place the blame somewhere. I think the referees did a good job all day, but I do think they missed some calls one was between Jon Voth and Shane Parks it was a contreversial takedown with about 5 seconds left and it won the match for shane.

Voth should be happy he lost, he didnt draw Sullivan in the quarters.....worked out good for him.

i never said that the tourney didnt go smoothly i was saying that it was a little weird when Harrison co wasnt wrestling all the "tournament officals" were only worried about people staying in the stands but when harrison co did have people on the mat it didnt matter where their fans and coaches were. oh and i am not looking for someone to blame my loss on because im not even a wrestler! with the reffs nobodys perfect i saw more than one bad call on sat. to bad to for voth he was wrestling a great match congrats shane. see you all at state

I think it was a good call no matter who your for or against. Shane clearly had control and Voth wasnt trying to improve his position. he locked up the crotch and held it hoping they wouldnt call the takedown. Even if Voth would of won it was an excellent match. Come to think of it the majority of the matches were pretty darn good. What about Ashbrook and Griggs???

The Ashbrook v.s Griggs match was a great one, so intense any opinions on the match.

Hmm

Woodford Co. 270

Harrison Co. 253

Woodford didn't run away with this. Could this be an omen?

They had 7 champs. Gonna be hard to achieve this at state.

Woodford Co.- 7 champs

Larue Co. -----8 Champs

Woodford Co.---4 Seconds

Larue Co.-------3 Seconds

Both with 11 Finalists

Woodford -----0 thirds

Larue ---------3 thirds

Woodford-----2 fourths

Larue --------0 fourths

Woodford- 13 Qualifiers

Larue------14 Qualifiers

Larue may be closer than everyone thinks.

grappler-of-old - I'm working the brackets and will have to agree. Larue did have a couple of let-downs (Carmen and Perez to good opponents), but they are definitely in the running. And I'm not jumping on the bandwagon, just stating the facts.

The Ashbrook Griggs Match was great and the Butler Wasson match was too.

Ranger:

I'm waiting until the brackets come out. I'm not going through all the drawing of brackets and such.

I'll let you know what I come up with.

it did not look like a concussion it just looked like all the weight cutting finally caught up to him he was dog tired by the middle of the second!!!

Coty Lewis DID have a concussion.

i heard the same thing he did have a concussion

who didnt qualify from woodford

125. he came in 5th.

I guess you didn't happen to notice the usual Woodford crowd around the mat at finals' date=' too.[/quote']

I agree woodford at some points were coaching from all sides of the mat

I was at the tournament from beginning to end and think you guys are a big deal over nothing. Yes, the announcer did a lot of screaming all day about staying in the stands, but as far as I could tell there were no issues. And in my opinion, it was the most well behaved I have ever seen the Woodford Co. coaches regarding coaches in the corner (except for the incident with Joe Sr. and Coach Headley from Henry Clay). But at no point did you have lots of people crowding the mats and getting in the way of the scorers table. In a gym that size and with the layout of the mat during finals, just because a fan is not sitting in the stands doesn't mean they are crowding the mat and causing problems.
