I know most people on this site would agree that the rankings that coach coomes did were a disaster compared to the Rebel Rankings (I myself agree to that.) But I was lookin at them and for the 1 and 2 spot (in no particular order), he was pretty much dead on with his last set of rankings. I was really suprised with him having griggs ranked # 2 at 135, but he obviously knew something I didnt...

What about Goldsby from Holmes not even placing this year, Sanders from Harr, knocked him into Conso's, and then Mils Risinger put him out of the tourney.
Ashbrook from Harrison County beat Griggs 2 times this year im pretty sure, but fell on Murtons side of the bracket, I think 135 turned out to be a tougher weight class then everyone thought it would be.
Yes, I agree, its a big suprise with goldbsy not medaling. And 135 definately seemed to be alot tougher than what i expected.
I agree with you, Coach Coomes did a good job in the end. Almost dead on......he's been doing this a long time, obviously knows what he's doing.
I compared my rankings with the "official" rankings and we're dead even looking at the top 2. Both Coach Coomes and I picked 21 of the 28 finalists and 10 winners. But this was my first year doing this, so I hope to do much better next year. And as requested I will try to put together preseason rankings. Maybe we can all watch the summer action and get updates from wrestlers and get a better idea where they will be wrestling next season.

Why don't you create a little preseason rankings right now based on how the wrestlers did at state and take all seniors out.
I could do that. What I hope to do in the next week is take out the seniors, but also move some guys around based on what I know about their teams and how much weight they cut this year.

please dont over look "jordan freeman from jchs" ranger 123 before doing the preseaon rankings he will stay at 125 and he beat a couple of ranked guys at state rashad brown by pin he wrestling eric bryant at regions and lost by a couple of points he is just a freshman and will do very well in years to come. also travis scott 145 will do very good next year very tuff kid, :twisted:
Bryant majored him,you are funny.He is a good freshman but making up stuff will only hurt him.13-1 was the final score.Good luck to him next year.
