5 Champs, I was off by 2 my bad

Wow, I was 2 off, MY BAD!

5 State champs!

Let no one argue the DOMINANCE OF WOODFORD!

I don't think many argued their dominance. But rubbing a pie in someone's face is kind of from the 6th or 7th grade.

Try growing up and more people might cheer you.

FYI - South Oldham had 3 champs ... thats not exactly something to scoff at either. They were pretty impressive.

Very rarely people cheer the teams who always win.........most people like the underdog. But those dominating teams keep everyone interested.

I hate the Yankees.

The Patriots are pretty cool though. I do have a beef with Steinbrenner though !! 8)

Olympic I also was 2 off.

I said they would have 3.

I will say this though, Woodfords horses pulled it off for them. Larue was working it on Friday morning but fell apart friday night and saturday.

I also was not happy with the fans. I saw glow sticks flying between Larue, and Woodford fans. I also thought the booing of Eric Bryant at the podium was horrible.

One other thing I saw that was horrible. during one of the finals matches, (Richard Starks) I think, someone threw a paper ball (not sure exactly what it was) and hit Joe Carr Sr. while he was coaching on the mat. This is extremely unsportsmanlike. It does not matter what yo uthink about an individual this is not acceptable.

Richard, Will, and Caleb looked extremely good in the finals.

Goodrich outsmarted Hall, as did Courtney.

I thought Banks had the upper hand almost the entire match. Banks ourtwrestled Harrison except for the last minute.

the glow stick came from the Woodford area & LaRue was accused of throwing the 1st glowstick! I should know because i was hit by it! But lets let by-gone's be by-gone's. :P every one should be happy! it was a good tournament & everyone had fun!

Well that glow stick from Woodford's area hit you mathawk but the one from our side was thrown by a stupid guy named terry caven who only showed up to the tournament on the very last day right as the finals had started, he left soon afterwards. Just to let that be known.

You know what, if this idiocy doesn't stop with the glow sticks every year i wouldn't be surprised if they stopped allowing them. Would we be proud of ourselves if that measure had to be taken ?

personally i think that should be an anual event after the finals. We should have a glow stick war  . cause i know my team has one on the bus ride home

someone threw a paper ball (not sure exactly what it was)

I think the paper ball was actually a balloon like the ones Woodford had been hitting around. It was flying around like it had been blown up and let go. Purely accidental...

Also the glow sticks that were thrown from LaRue's section were all high school kids there to support the wrestlers. They honestly hardly ever show up and don't fully even understand wrestling. The fans that threw glow sticks back from the Woodford side were parents and adults. The LaRue side were accused first so the parents had to stop the children from anymore of that nonsense.

The group of kids from Larue who were mostly throwing glow sticks were obnoxious through out the tournament, but didn't seem like true wrestling fans. The parents & true wrestling fans from Larue were a nice group.
