what matches were the biggest upsets at state?

Byrd getting beat, even if it was by Martinko who was ranked third. Isaac Ervin beating Caleb Wood, and then Wood dropping all the way to 8th. Joe Powers beating Thueneman.

And finals match was Joe Powers, him beating Mines and Scott County in the same day is pretty awsome.

ross carpertier-frasier from MC beating cody vinsant and almost making it to the finals was very surprising, and cliff cornett beating jon chiu of seneca was a pretty big upset

The Corey Peters/Kyle Goodrich match should have been an upset, but Goodrich is from woodford county, he got all the right calls from the ref that he needed from the officials to win all his matches along with all the other woodford wrestlers who had questionable calls. Corey took him down atleast 4 or 5 times but no matter how close any of them were to being out of bounds, all of them were called out because it was a woodford person getting taken down. Did any body else hear about the ref who got kicked out because he was cheating for teams??

AllAmerican103 I dont know what match you were watching but Peters was backing up the whole match and never got him for stalling once. Seemed to me like the calls went his way. Dont blame it on because he goes to Woodford Co. thats a joke.

Take a note from teams like Woodford, SO and Larue. You will rarely hear them conplain about refs, they work for it!

I think that a very big upset was the Cody Walls( Caldwell Co.)/ and Jacob Hildreth( Cambell Co.) Jacob Hildreth stalled when he got a point for locking hands. Jacob put Cody in a basket cradle and just kept Cody there.

Cody Walls should have won that match. If you watched the 160 championship match he did the same thing except Austin Cooper is a lot taller and has longer arms and was able to put Jacob Hildreth on his back. When Austin did that Jacob Hildreth was pinned from my view.

I think that one of the biggest upsets was when Isaac Ervin beat Caleb Wood. It was an exciting match, and he ended up beating Chui in the 3rd place match.

chui beating caleb wood was also a big upset, beating him 10-0 and making his way to the 3rd place match, it was a big win for him after being upset by henry clay. The 119 3rd place match was really exciting, both wrestlers really gave it their all, going into double overtime, congradulations to both guys.

Trust me, Woodford didn't get any better calls than anyone else out there. The refs were consistent and fair. There were a couple that were'nt really cared for by several of the wrestlers and/or fans, but all around, they did a good job. Goodrich didn't win that match by a cheating ref.

i think that brandon howard and ozzy parker match was a really big upset because brandon howard had that last second takedown but the ref's took it back and gave the win to parker

i thought that match was awesome and if brandon howard would have made it to the finals he would have won

also that 119 match,that i don't think any of you hardly saw, between hopkinsville's 119 and eric warner - that hopkinsville kid that looks no bigger than a 103 got i believe like a 1:16 pin on eric on his senior year, talk about upset!

It was a fleeing the mat call on Parker, not a last second takedown.. In my personal opinion the ref only called it to begin with by Coach's influence on him, in my mind the call to take it back and have them go into over time was a much better decision than have Howard win the match like that.

yea powers wrestled last year but was injured early in the season and had to sit out the rest of the season

if it was that then it would have been tied up and would have went to over time and they didn't

also bryan wasson losing his first match was an upset and him not placing

I'm pretty sure it was fleeing the mat because Parker was out by the bleachers away from the mat, I don't see how it would be a takedown, it was tied up when they called fleeing the mat, they took it back and it went into overtime, Parker got the takedown and won.. I'm almost positive that was it.

you might be right it don't really matter, it just sucked seeing him cheering after he thought he won and then him losing that must have been upsetting

It's his second year, but might as well be his first because he was injured majority of last year.

He is just a really good athlete.
