Josh Ashbrook had a great weekend at state. Took third, would have been second if he did not meet murton in the semi's. But as a sophmore taking 3rd is not bad at all and only loosing to the MOW of the tournment. And also being one of the few if not the only one in the state to go 6 mins with murton too. Also Sanders of Harrison co hada good weekend too, beat goldsby, and coomer who he had lost to before. Just shows that he step his game up at state.
Coty Lewis and Harrison Courtney. Lewis had the toughest draw of the tournament and still came out on top. Plus nobody believed that he had the heart or conditioning to pull it out. Courtney came back and showed maturity by not letting the previous loss to Banks get to him. He simply came back and wrestled a better match.
I think that murton did great at state but there were also some other wrestlers who did very impressive, too. such as Richard Starks won his 3rd state title!
