The Best Underdogs-That Are Good Wrestlers

Topic ID: 607 | 6 Posts

Southerns Joe Powers & Clifford Johnson from 2003 placing 3rd at a very hard weight class,I think 140 it was

J-towns 2006 Aubrey Hayes and 2005 Max Ventura

Marks of Eastern

Corey Peters HVWT at Central

Corey Peters was never an underdog, he was always atop the rankings and talked about as much as most of the other top ranked wrestlers.

Sheldon Clark (wrestlers) always underdogs and normally impress

max ventura didnt ever do much at state...his senior year didnt he go two matches and out

Ross Carpentier-Fraser won region 7 at 112 beat Zarth & Lewis, finished sixth at State. Could be somebody to watch next year.

Id say that Josh Johnson of North Hardin is a underdog, he was ranked 9th at 112 i believe, not to mention hes in middle school, and he was in the 112 finals, a runner-up as an 8th grader is a big thing. Also Josh Burkett of Fern Creek stepped it up at 103 to take 6th this year with a big victory for him over tristen hines of LaRue County.
