would like to congradulate Cooper on doing a great job running a tournament of this size. I thought they did really well trying to keep things moving along.

At 103 Gavin Smith and at 110 Alex McKinley got 1st place.

Twenhofel also won 1st as a team

Great day of wrestling. Judging from what I have seen around the state Northern Kentucky looks very solid. This region is going to produce countless number of state placers and several state champs. A few thoughts:

70- Nick Austin is tough! He dominated little Yenter and thats no easy task. The four little guys Austin, Wells, Yenter, and Roth will finish in this order I believe come state time. I also see a possible state champ and one or two placers out of this bunch.

75- All Skaggs all day. Granted I heard that Wells had been sick, but Skaggs really turned up the pressure and dominated Wells today. Wells had a great semi's match again Martin of Gray. I watched Martin battle Wiley two weeks ago and was impressed and he really impressed me today again.

82- Logan Erdmen! Great young man, comes from a great family and he and Wiley battled it out! 6-4 in ot. I didnt expect anything less out of these two. With no disrespect to the rest of the state much like 70 all four kids; Erdmen, Wiley, Goshorn, and Roth, could place or win state this year. Wiley dominated in the semi's and Erdmen dominated in the semi's as well which led to probably the biggest match up of the night, and the two boys didnt disappoint. Being from Conner I can wait to watch these two go at it several times throughout the year.

89- Jake Erdmen! Beside Blackwell I haven't seen anybody that will push him at state. He completely ran over Hammons in the finals, and Hammons was coming off a huge win over Roth in the Semi's. 89 Looks relatively weak in the region, once Roth drops down.

96- Great battle between Rich and Wilson in the semi's 2-0 and it was constant movement, that match should have been the finals. Rich looked outstanding all day. Completely dominated in the finals. As did Wilson going for 3rd. Rich is a legitimate contender for state this year.
