Area wrestlers grapple, take mat at Caldwell

The Christian County Colonels wrestling team finished third after scoring 153 points over the weekend at the Steve Armstrong Invitational at Caldwell County High School.

Ravenwood, Tenn. won the tournament with a final total of 262 points, followed by Louisville Eastern who took second with 178.

The Colonels had three grapplers

Fort Campbell claimed an eighth place finish Saturday in the 12-team field at the Armstrong Tiger Classic in Princeton.

The Falcon grapplers scored 98 points, just four shy of Ravenwood (Tenn.) No. 2 and only 12 points behind host Caldwell and 17 points behind Paducah Tilghman.
