Forrest has a couple of scrappy guys.. Northeast has improved.. 125 I believe is ranked #5 in TN. This tournament will be a tough one.. Does anyone know anything about Bishop Brossart?

What are some opinions on who will be in the finals in each weight class.

Matt Price from Montgomery Central @140

David Sahms vs. Tre Blackwell @ 103

when is the tornement

30th

I THINK ASA ODOMS FROM CHRISTIAN COUNTY WILL BE IN THE FINALS AGAINST TRAE BLACKWELL OR DAVID SAHMS AT 103

Its going to be a battle at the 112 spots... I think the finishers will be 1st Chase Boone (ohio) 2nd Joey Henderson(cen.hardin)  3rd Wade Willen (uha) and 4th J.J. Killebrew (Christian)

I really want to see how Henderson does again Chase or Wade.

Chase beat henderson at duals tuesday so i think it'll b good for him and wade to compete

Has he wrestled the guy from caldwell? i doubt hell beat him.

Has he wrestled the guy from caldwell? i doubt hell beat him.

David pinned both pretty easily in the first period so I see a Blackwell/Sahms final

any resutls

i was injured and couldnt wrestle at the christian county tournament, but it was a great tournament to be involved in. christian county had potential to win the tournament but really fell apart, technical fouls and stupid mistakes haunted the team, they went from 1st and second to 9th and finally finished 5th. a few of their wrestlers were injured or sick before, maybe that had something to do with it. it was well organized and enjoyed by all the teams from what i saw. central hardin finished won the tournament at the end of the long day.

Christian County finished 7th, behind UHA (5th) and Ohio County (6th).

Individual results?

Individual results?

I remember

103- Blackwell (UHA) came back with very little time left to pin Sahms (Ft. Campbell)

112- Boone (Ohio) beat Willen (UHA) pretty much the same way he beat at him Caldwell

119- Moore (Ohio) pinned Dickson (Paducah) pretty quickly

125- Northeast beat Boone (Ohio)

171- Kenwood pinned Agnew (Caldwell) shocked me

285- Northeast beat Hamilton (Paducah)

They must have changed after i left, but yeah gavin surprised me at 171. he lost really bad to kenwood.

boone beat the northeast kid

boone beat the northeast kid

Chancey Wilson from Northeast beat Tyler Boone in the finals, 16-12.

Asa Odoms(Christian County)  destroyed Chris Gilkey (Caldwell) proving all of you wrong!!!!! :-P

Oh and David Sahms struggled with Asa in their match. He couldnt pin Asa but Sahms did well against Blackwell until the last 20 seconds of the match.

Let's not get carried away. It was only 3-1, but still a good win for Asa.

young grappler said:

Actually they did finish 5th. Tied with UHA and just ahead of Ohio County. There was a scoring error in the 285 3rd/4th place match. The first version had the West Creek wrestler, when it should have been the Christian County wrestler. No matter either way Christian County wrestled like crap. I can't believe they were in 2nd and fell all the way to 9th before barely climbing back to 5th

Asa Odoms(Christian County)  destroyed Chris Gilkey (Caldwell) proving all of you wrong!!!!! :-P

it wasnt a destroy, but odoms looked pretty good. If he can beat bennett and gilky consistently looks like he has a shot at making state.

thanks naplesme for re correcting grappler. i thought i was right, but yeah going from 2nd to 9th was horrible, but i believe they will pull it together.

Sahms did not struggle against him... Asa is a good young wrestler who stepped up over the weekend.. The Northwest Kid he beat was a state qualifier in TN last season.

here's the official results from the tournament.

What happened between Wade Willen and Henderson I heard a little tussel broke out.

What happened between Wade Willen and Henderson I heard a little tussel broke out.

Willen won 6-2.  Henderson was frustrated, threw his headgear, refused to shake Willen's hand, and was appropriately dinged one team point for poor sportsmanship.  No place for that in this sport.

I agree with that statement-- I have seen too much of that this year.. I have also seen alot of tap-outs this year. 1 Kid at this toury tap-out 3 times as he was being pinned but then got a pin on the other kid. I think there should be a limitto how many times you can tap-out in a match.

I don't want to get into the whole tap out thing AGAIN, but I have set that limit with my oldest son.  Last year at a youth tournament he was winning a match and the kid caught him in a headlock.  He freaked out like he couldn't breathe and the official stopped it (as he probably should).  My son was fine, but I immediately threw in the towel and gave the other kid the win.  I don't think it is fair to get saved from a bad situation.  And I know all of the arguments about someone really getting hurt, but I'm just not seeing it.  Unless something illegal or potentially dangerous happens, suck it up and fight or put your shoulders to the mat.

I fell the same way Ranger.. My son has only had one time where he could not get out and almost passed out, but he finshed the match.  Thanks for ur side

I heard the Willen kid was fleeing pretty much the entire 3rd.

The officiating in the match between Willen & Henderson was horrible. Henderson was frustrated from Willen constant fleeing the mat, take-down points given out of bounds, but he did not throw his head gear. The team point was taken for inappropriate hand shake.

I heard the Willen kid was fleeing pretty much the entire 3rd.

wade willen wasnt ever really stalling. he was gettin pushedd out of bounce, which can be considered stalling on chase

Chase? i dont think you are talking about the same match. Chase dominated their match.

Yeah, were talking Henderson v. Willen.
