103 and 110

Topic ID: 6253 | 16 Posts

who is looking good at 103 and 110?

70 -  Hard to tell - Probably someone from Northern KY - there are some tough kids up there

75 -  Bindner followed by Skaggs and Barton

82 -  No one has beaten Erdman yet this year gotta go with him for the top spot

89 -  A lot of parity in this weight class - so far haven't seen anyone jump to the top

96 -  Brown and Blackwell - Shirkey the sleeper

103 - Ervin on top, J. Lampe and Kahl a tossup for 2 and 3. If I were in this weight class I would do all I could to up or down.

110 - Fausz - Rusch is tough but may go down to a stacked 103 weight class

117 - Fahy

Haven't seen or heard of anyone from Eastern or Southern areas. Johnson Central and Wayne always bring quality kids as do others. Just haven't heard anything on them yet.

Brock Ervin is'nt wrestling middle school anymore and in 89 Coby Lancaster from University Heights i think will win it. Hes been wrestling 103 all year and was going to go 96 but blackwell changed his mind so he is cutting down.

70- Borroughs.  Nick Austin should be mentioned as well. Lost to Borroughs by one.  Very close match.

Do not overlook Jason Hall from Moore Middle School, he has been wrestling for moores varsity all yr and placed 3rd in the Jefferson countyTournament of Champions this past week end .

I hear Brown is wrestling 103.  Any truth to this?

Actually my son and i were talking to clay saturday at Tates Creek he is weighing 102 and he said he was trying too hard to put weight on for varsity to cut it for middle school state. He said he was looking forward to getting a shot at Ervin and Lampe, I dont see this kid dodging anyone. I still give the nod to ervin, but brown is looking very solid and is capable of pulling an upset.

1 more reason to avoid going 103 - This weight class looks to be as tough as last years 103.

which one is tougher ? this year or last year. this is last years varsity rankings, which excludes logan wedding, i believe he would of been top 3 high school last year,  canter would of held his own but not top 10 . so that leaves 2 possible state placers with wedding and willin.

i believe this year has the potential to be the toughest in a while if kids stay at 103. dont count out soriano from bourbon either as a placer at 103 middle school.

Good point, but another explanation could be that high school 103 is weak this year, outside the top few kids.

The Soriano that you are referring to (Joel is at 103) is a sophmore.

Union wrestled at districts and Brock is not wrestling middle school this year. He is wrestling for the high school team.
