weather not lokkin good for state duals :-(
Ryle did not send it's varstiy team to qualifier. It is the same weekend of a major ohio tournament they attend. On a side note they have already beaten both of the region 6 qualifying teams in duel meets

The forcasts I see just predict a cold day
Does everyone agree that the top 4 seeds should be the green team, the blue team, the purple team and the black team?

I think he's referring to Thursday and Friday which predicts flurries and snow showers.

Yes

That is what I figured, I guess I still have that Germany mentality where alittle snow never hurt

The truth is, Ryle is holding the cards tight to their chest. Just had 5 kids from Iowa transfer in and want to show their cards at reagions. :-D just kidding
Yes
Which Black Team? Woodford or Johnson Central? Johnson Central is tough this year and I could see them making some noise at State Duals or the Tournament this year.
Seeds? A few years back I believe, the coaches decided to seed the tournament with the first criteria being head to head, wins and losses. So with that in mind, I believe both LaRue and Johnson Central are undefeated in state. I am pretty sure LaRue is, and 99% sure Johnson Central is, someone correct me if I am wrong. Trinity has one loss to Union County. Union County has one loss to LaRue. Woodford has one loss to Central Hardin and Campbell County has one loss to Ryle.
I can't remember how far down the coaches decided to seed this thing. Now before someone says, correctly I might add, that Trinity didn't have Fahy, Bradbury, and Hitchings in their dual, and they didn't, the coaches decided it doesn't matter who the teams had when they wrestled and who they didn't. If you wrestle one another and lose, you lost. And before someone gets on here and talks about who finished in front of whom at some tournament, tournament finishes don't matter in a dual seeding.
Nowwith that in mind, who are your top seeds? I am not sure and just let me say that this seed meeting on Saturday will be VERY intersting and could take a while!!
Matchups i hope to see:
1) Travis K vs Isaac T 135
2) Jake Lee vs John Lampe 160
3) Luke Troxell vs Kevin Cooper 130
4) Korey Shotwell vs Grant Ohlmann 145
5) Bernard Ray vs Nathan Ilg 189
6) Tyler Crow vs Drew Newberry vs Cody Mink (if any of these happen) 215

I'm thinking Woodford a 4 and JC a 5 let them duke it out in the pool to see who makes the final round.
Mark Adams, lead forecaster, estimated the area may receive 5-8 inches of snow. But meteorologists on Tuesday were uncertain about the system

I think that Woodford was missing 3 or 4 varsity wrestlers in their loss to Central Hardin.

Our team has had duals with Ryle, CC, Larue and WC. Obviously Ryle won't be at the tournament but I'd rank the top four team in this order... Trinity, CC, WC then Larue. All this depends on the health of some of the guys(Jake Lee, the HWT for WC and so on) and how they match up in each weight class. It'll be fun to see how it all plays out.

I'm just curious, why would you have them in that order?
If snow occurs will the State Duals be rescheduled.

Yeah, I see it like this. Larue, Trinity, CC, JC

Where does Union fit in all this? Will the fact that they did beat trinity have any influence on the seeding? And what about Central Hardin beating Woodford?
Who cares about seeding? If you want to win state duals, you have to beat the team across from you. Any team worried about seeding must not think that they can beat all the teams there and will be trying to avoid certain teams. Yes this might be a advantage for some teams not being in a pool with team A or B. But if I was on that team and was to win it all, not sure I could look in the mirror and say we where the best in the state.

Like I said we wrestled 3 of the 4 schools and that's how I see it. Trinity looks like they held their own with the team form IN and that team almost knocked of Ryle, that's all I'm basing it on. I haven't gone weight by weight or anything like that.

They weren't last year. There's really no date available to do so.

Within reason. For example, if Larue ends up in a pool with Ft Campell, Jeffersontown, and Meade and Trinity ends up with Campbell Co, St X, and Wayne Co. that isn't quite fair. Larue would be able to rest their kids most of the day while Trinity would have to wrestle hard to win those duals. I agree you beat the team in front of you, but you can't just take the attitude who cares about seeding and expect the best. You have to set your team up with the best chance to win.

Agreed, seed top 4 then draw. It could still end the way way you said, but you will not have teams trying to avoid other teams. I might make the case that drawing the other teams in that the #2 team of the same region as the top 4 are pulled from the hat. Other words try to make no pool with 2 teams from the same region (just a thought).

Steve Fiser and other coaches seed the top teams to the best of the information they have: top five or even six. They do put the other teams from regions on the other side of the bracket if I recall. They do a pretty good job with giving everyone a fair chance.
Can state duals be rescuduled for Sunday? NO!! We go to church on Sundays!!
Amen! and after church we spend time with the family.
Well, i can honestly say i wish i was a fly on the wall in the coach's meeting this year!!! Johnson and LaRue are undefeated in the State of KY (it don't matter how close you were with out of state teams) which means they DESERVE AND SHOULD BE the top 2 seeds. Here's the issue: who is the #1 and who is the #2 as neither has faced any common teams this year in DUALS. The next problem comes when you try to seed the next 3 or 4 teams, who have kind of a A beat B who beat C who beat A thing going on. I have a good feeling some blood will be flowing and tensions will be high saturday in that meeting!!! :-D
With that said, may he best team win!!!
