Looking at the home stretch my LEAST favorite part of the state tournament crops up. I HATE it when the two best (BY FAR) end up on the same side of the bracket.
For example this year:
103- Anyone of the top would be fun to see in the finals
112- doesn

For most weights, I think the top 3 are all state champ caliber wrestlers. What sucks is that its not THAT unlikely for the top 3 to end up on the same side... So its pretty easy to get shafted for the finals unless they seed the top 4, which they don't do.
As always there are always upsets or so-called upsets at state, but I think there will be some very interesting matches that will turn heads, I look forward to some good wrestling at States.

Sorry, but unless he blows an O ring or some other crap, he will not actually be beaten legitimately by anyone at 112. He will also not be challenged legitimately by anyone at 112.

I agree. It is possible that he won't win, but it would have to be something crazy like an injury or a lucky move, but even if someone caught him in something hes good enough to get out. he is ALOT better than all the other 112s and most people in the state.

No Hitchings is a good wrestler. The rest of them are no that impressive. To be honest 215 and 285 is absolute trash this year.

An interesting note about Larry Owing, a friend of my younger brothers is making a documentary about him. He spent a week at the guy's house and pretty much got his whole story. It's basically telling how a guy who trained his whole life to beat a legend like Dan Gable but after he did the sport basically made him into a villain. I'll post a link to more info about it when the movie comes out.

I have seen a lot of talent and competition when I was in Alaska. But I am not exactly the best wrestler so I doubt it matters much.

Hines is a good wrestler very strong but the fact that he got teched is not that impessive....i wrestled him as a first year guy and beat him last year at a camp...i believe peyton will beat him...I c peyton in the semi's at state

Brock is very impressive when I have seen him. But when David almost pinned him it kinda killed most of his legend, he is still a very good threat to win state though

nope, i watched the paden fahy match last year in the semi finals at the state tournament and it was like 3 to 14 every point paden scored was from fahy letting him up, dannyboy just stop while your ahead your making your self sound stupid, no one in the 112 weight class will touch fahy, he is to technical and to strong, he is very fast also, the only point that someone has got on him in the state of the ky that i have seen is james huffine, he reversed him at the jefferson county tournament of champions, fahy can win state at any weight class if he was at the weight.well Paden to me has the best chance at doing that either him or tj because to me all three of them have a similar wrestling style

agreed. determination is a good quality, but if im determined to beat lebron james in one on one it still isnt gonna happen.
thats my point, the kids running their mouths arent even good enough to step on the mat with him, they are just real childish and think they are good but in reality they suck
I would love to step on the mat with him but everyone on my team including the coaches would probably have a heart attack and im saying its not impossible to beat him i know i cant unless i put on like 4 pounds of muscle and lose some body weight cause im over for 112, and the other things i do hurt me physically if u know what i mean. (i.e. lifting weights, pushups, situps, crunchs, pullups, but all tht gets boring after a while.)

it's the north oldham tournament this coming Saturday demery and shotwell will definitly be a preview of the finals assuming they don't meet in the semi finals but that might happen I don't know how it works but I beat out the number one guy in my weight class in the semis and he was from Campbell and I wrestled for north

Yea I wrestled Meyers at A tourney tHis summer and he is the real deal.........and I also say meyers and Jayce Car wrestle and it was close but meyers opened it up at the end...

Campbell's "B" team will be at North Oldham not the "A" team. They always take the week before regions off.

That could have been two good matches in the semi's and finals. I know Shotwell is ranked #1 most likely because Ohlman dropped.

He was on his back twice, I didnt say David won. But he looked alot better then we thought he was going to look. We thought David was going to get pinned in under 30 seconds

Goff was a phenomenon, kids like him are 1/10,000. As a first year wrestler, he placed at state and went on to be an all-american at senior nationals in VA beach, he now wrestles for lindsey wilson. The only other person i've seen with that kind of raw talent was Justin Davis from eastern. Most kids would be lucky avoid being teched by Fahy even if they had been wrestling since grade school.
