What are other schools policies on allowing wrestlers on the team that did no t qualify attend the state. I know that a lot of the bigger teams will have mat maids and score keepers, do they excuse those kids?

My sons school will not allow 4 other boys who did not qualify go with the team ( that is our whole team). Just curious!! Very Disgruntled!

I know at LaRue, if you are a member of the team PERIOD, it is a field trip. and i'm not sure if they still do this at LaRue (i always had it marked as field trip) but when i was in elementary school, and student who brought back a ticket from state got an excused absence.

Same with Eastern. Anybody who brings back a ticket gets an excused absence. The school only pays for qualifiers  and alternates though.

Our kids were told you can go. find your own way and it's not an excused absense. we have managers that are excused to go but even our alternates were not allowed
