With the end of the 2010 year, we are finishing up this decade. Who made your cut for the all-decade team (2000-2010). Don't just say, "John Doe ... four time state champion". It should take more than just statistics to get on this team

I think the first thing you have to do is establish what years you're going to include. For example Josh Johnson started out at 112 in 8th grade when he lost in the finals. Then he wins state at 135 and 152 his sophomore and senior years but places 3rd his junior year at 140. Which year and weight class is he going to represent?

Include the year and weight you want him to represent... for example (135 Josh Johnson 2008 - sophomore year). It's totally up to you
I don't have an argument with most except 189: that would have to be Christian County's A.J. Green. Starks couldn't touch Green during his career, he lost to Green everytime they wrestled.

Johnson was champ at 130 in 08 and 3rd at 135 in 09.
1st off Where do we start and where do we end?
Is it from 2000-2010? That is 11 years.
For argument purposes I will use these years.

Travis Sullivan has to be in there somewhere
Right off the bat, if I was to put this team together, Micheal Jackson would be my 135. We miss you Micheal!

not a big deal but he actually won at 130 as a sophomore and took 3rd at 135 as a junior

Even though Richard was a 3 time state Champ and made the finals all four years? Just wondering
Hithchings never came claose to beating Mason Reid at 171
Hithchings never came claose to beating Mason Reid at 171
IMO the Hitchings of 2010 would beat Reid of 08
IMHO none of the 171's would touch 2000's George King. The longest he spent on the mat in any of his four matches was 1:59. He pinned every one of his opponents in the first period.
103- John Fahy 9th Grade, Took some of the best wrestlers at 103 that year and tore them apart, not once being threatened
112- Travis Sullivan 11th Grade, Love him or hate him, you didnt have as many wins as he did
119- Matt Zarth 12th Grade, The only one who could challenge him was Osborne
125- Shane Parks 12th Grade, Finished on top of one of the toughest weight classes ive ever seen
130- Caleb Ervin 10th Grade, He was undefeated that year and had maybe 3 points scored on him the whole state tournament
135- Jacob Murton 12th Grade, Just an extremely dominant wrestler
140- Jarius Murton 11th Grade, Only wrestler who touched him was was Thomas Campbell
145- Harrison Courtney 11th Grade, One of the greatest
152- John Wolseifer 10th Grade, It is a shame I didnt get to see him wrestle
160- Mitch Ervin 12th Grade, The greatest Ervin before Caleb
171- Brad Hitchings 12th Grade, Looked pretty amazing to me
189- Richard Starks 12th Grade, I hope he AA's this year
215- Taylor Scherer 12th Grade, Everyone else is putting him
285- Anthony Bailey 12th Grade, Only person who wasnt pinned by him was Zachary Rhinestine
agree with all but 71 would have to go with reid103- John Fahy 9th Grade, Took some of the best wrestlers at 103 that year and tore them apart, not once being threatened

Pretty much agree except Reid at 171 and derek scott at 125
What about Ruschell at 119 his senior year. Not only did he dominate everyone in the state but he was actually small enough to wrestle 112 at the beast (where he placed).
I wrestled with this decision over and over. George King was my first gut pick. But it was so long ago I had a hard time comparing him to the others.
Was an animal on the mat. And the hat he wore off the mat was awsome. :-D
Takn Brad Cooper over Zarth at 119 2001, Brad Cooper over 135 Murton. Brad Cooper beat some pretty high end wrestlers like Luke Metzker who was a machine and another I would take even though we only won it twice over Murton was Michael Jackson at 135, he was a bad man, he beat him self up befor he wrestled warming up then spanked you,
Now you go back to the decade befor that, half these names aren't up here
