Yesterday, the regent's for Nebraska University of Lincoln announced that the school will leave the Big 12 and go to the Big Ten. I was wondering if anyone has any idea's how this might affect college wrestling, both in the Big 12 and in general?

Depends on Texas! If they go to the Pac-10, there will no longer be a Big-12. Everyone else will depart as well!!
Will make the Big Ten all that much tougher, meanwhile the "Big 5" will shrink to the Big 4. If the other four teams, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Missouri and Iowa St leave then the conference will get even weaker. This might force NCAA Wrestling to put these teams into another "conference" to qualify for the NCAA tournament. They are already doing this with the Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) with teams like West Virginia, Lock Haven, Pittsburgh, Edinboro and several more. In fact this move will probably hurt college wrestling overall.
...moves like this make me hate college football and what the sport of football has become overall in the US.

Spoken like a real SEC shill. It is all about the$$$ and has been for a long time. Nobody has ever gotten into wrestling to get rich. Perhaps the PAC10 can have wrestling now and not have to count on Boise State to carry their banner. There's an awful lot good wrestlers in Cali.
