This last weekend 3 of Kentucky's better programs (Trinity, Ryle and St. X. wrestled in duel meet events in Cincinnati this weekend. Here are the scores:

Ryle at Lakota East quad:

Ryle 51  Middlwtown 21      Lakota East 42  Ryle 21

Trinity and St. X at Moeller super duels:

St. X. 45 Springboro 27/  Wadsworth 67  St. X 12  / Elyria 66  St. X 8 / Westerville North 36 StX 27

Mason 50 Trinity 13 / Elyria 55 Trinity 9 / Trinity 38 Springboro 30 / Olentangy Liberty 37 Trinity 29

* Wadsworth is the defending DI state champs (beating Lakewood St Eds. last year)

Wow! Some of those are lopsided quite a bit.  It's one thing to have two or three very good wrestlers on your team, but to beat the best in Ohio, you have to have 14 very good wrestlers.  If you have a hole or two in your line up, that won't cut it to beat those teams.  It does show that the top teams in KY aren't afraid to wrestle the elite Ohio teams.

You have to wrestle the best to be the best!!!!  No shame in taking those lumps.  Great Job, Ryle, St. X and Trinity for putting your necks on the line.

How did John Lampe Do if anyone knows?

I believe he went 4-0 but acertain other big name KY wrestler went 2-2
