How many schools out there allow their sports teams to practice on days that school is out due to inclement weather?  I know Franklin County currently does not allow practice.  If most do, it will help us convince our new superintentdent to look at the policy.

I think Union County has to get the School Board (superintendent) to justify that by the end of the day the roads are clearer than when school was cancelled that morning. If the roads are much safer then practice is usually held (as with sporting events).

Jefferson County Public schools say no school, no practicewith only exceptions being for post season.

Letcher County allows practices. Coaches can call it off if they feel the roads are to bad.
