Very Big tournament, many quality kids if I recall.
Hammer and Avial was another big Ohio Tournament.
If you place here you have achieved something.
If ou place high here you have prbably wrestled a Graham kid
do we get an extra pound on day 1 weigh in?
wait do our 2 pounds come in plus 1?
Why would there be +1? It is past Dec 25, so the growth allowance is in effect.
sorry, I meant 2 pounds. Just wanted to make sure Ohio date was the same as KY.

I'm pretty sure. Nothing on the site about specific weight details.
At the end of the first day Ryle is in 5th place with 71 points, Simon Kenton in 23rd place with 45 points and Campbell in 27th place with 42 points. Looks like the only NKY wrestlers going into the third round today with no losses are Ryle's Pruett (103), Ruschell (119), Ahern (130), Coyle (160), Mace (171), Pruett (189), Buckler (215), Maines (285). Simon Kenton's Cooper (135), Herald (140). Campbell's Fausz (119) and Hamilton (130). Ryle has 1 wrestler in the consolation brackets, Simon Kenton has 1 in the consolation brackets and Campbell has 2 in the consolation brackets.
After the Quarterfinal and 4th consolation rounds, Ryle is now in 4th place, Campbell is 22 and Simon Kenton in 25. Ryle's Ruschell (119), Ahern (130), Coyle (160), Pruett (189) are still in the hunt for first place. Ryle has 4 other wrestlers now in the consolation bracket. Campell's Fausz (119) and Hamilton (130) are still in it with one wrestler in the consolation bracket. Simon Kenton's Cooper (135), and Herald (140) are still undefeated. SK has no wrestlers in the consolation bracket.
After the semi final round. Ryle is now in second with 140 points (Graham is in first first 278.5). SK is in 17th with 70.5 points and Campbell in 21st with 64 points. Ghraham wins with 330.5 points. Ryle tied for second with Centerville with 140 points. Campbell Co finished 17th with 75.5 points and Simon Kenton tied for 19th with 72.5 points.
Ryle did a great job this weekend. Still finished tied for second place even after not winning a single match in the final round. Corey Ahern is one to mention after beating Paul Hamilton in overtime in the simis, and putting up a battle in the finals.
I heard this is only his second year wrestling... if that's true then my hat is off to you sir.

I have to say this Ryle team is getting the job done. Just looking at the lineup it doesn't seem to add up, but they just seem to find a way to win. I still can't get the math to work out, but based on the way they have performed this December (win the Raider Rumber and good performances in SWOWCA and GMVWA), they have to be considered a threat in February.
Still looks like Trinity to me. Starting to look like football.
It will be very close to say the least. I think Ryle has a few kids that are low on the radar that are going to sneak up on people and possibly pull out a spot in the podium in Feb. Huge points from kids that are placing in some tough Ohio tourneys.
Great showing by the KY wrestlers!
only person to win in the finals from kentucky was herald
