District 5 (Updates)

Topic ID: 7255 | 12 Posts

At the moment Gray is up 30 on the rest of the competition

Looks like 70 and 75 are gonna be all Walton finals at the moment.

Wiley is crusing through the competition

Scaggs gets a concussion and is out of the tournament. From what I heard just tremendous heart to finish the match. Sucks the kid wont be able to compete for a state title.

Both Erdmens are rocking and rolling at 89 and 96.

Goshorn looking good so far.

110- Rich gets pinned by Trosper from Walton. Biggest upset of the day for sure.

117 Belk vs Grandstaff final...Should be a dousey

Brandstetter is rocking and rolling.

Woolfe looking very sharp on the day.

Miemen is going to be tough to beat come state time. He is the real deal

Looks like Dorne will win this weight class.

Warwick is wrestling good on the day in the one match he's had. Him and Navey should be an interesting finals match.

185 Will be between Adams and Kohlman.

Hwt- Nothing more can be said about Turkeyfoots heavy weight he is a monster.

Lot of good finals matches coming up, hopefully I can leave work and make it to the finals on time! More updates coming as I get them in.

Come on guys, where are the updates?  Here in District 6 we were finished and out to eat well before 6:00.

Darn I hate posting any results after Ranger because mine are on memory only and well well well I forgot what I was going to say(Old age stinks). Here are a few winners Wise @70,Long @ 75,Bindner @82,Baker @89,Heidof won in a very good match over Emerson @ 96,I think Tenharnsel won at 103,Shirky won 110 and claimed a well deserved MOW. Kid from East @117,Max Emerson @ 140,Dalton Gohegan won @ 150 for North.Anderson Co. won 185 and Davis from south won 230.North won the team score with East second not sure of the final score but it was very close,it was tied going in to the final rounds.

Max Emerson 131 not 140.

It really stinks for Joey Scaggs, exiting the tournament bc of injury... He wanted the state titke so badly. But from what I heard it was a mild concussion, so he'll be okay - You can just never be too safe.

He definately would have been on the podium.  Take nothing away from Mikey Meyer though.  He wrestled a great match.

I wasn't there to see the match, because I was coaching elsewhere, so I wasn't to take anything away from Meyer.  Scaggs is a tough kid.  Beating him to go to the finals is something to be excited about.  Injuries, though unfortunate, happen and I wish the winners in that weight class, and the rest of the district the best of luck at regionals.
