"Once you have wrestled, everything else in life is easy"

My kids coach at the youth club they went to in ohio allways said when a kids got a busted lip or something and the wanted to cry.....THIS AINT CHEERLEADING!!!!!!!
lol refdad...
I remember reading this one on a t-shirt:
"My favorite sight on a basketball floor is wrestling mats from door to door."
Not really a saying, but i like the t-shirt with a basketball, football, baseball and soccer ball on it. The wording on the shirt is something like
"Wrestlers have em, everyone else plays with them"
I like that one too...
"Just wrestle" was one that my wrestling partner and I always loved. While the whole team had a brotherhood type atmosphere (I'm talking Danville here, while there may not have been many of us, we always stuck together), Chris and I really were like brothers. Before matches we would always say "just wrestle," to remind each other that you have to let everything else go when you step out on the mat. Whatever else is bothering you, you have to forget about it and...well...just wrestle.
I'm having my favorite wrestling saying put on the back of our youth club's parent's booster shirts this year and it really looks like the school district bumper sticker:
MY MASON YOUTH WRESTLER
PINNED YOUR HONOR STUDENT
Mason is a good wrestling school.
I know a wrestler from Mason, didn't you guys have your first state champion this year?
Yes we did. Zach Marshall at 275# was Mason's first state champ. He didnt start wrestling until 8th or 9th grade. He's on a football scholarship at Maryland.
"Life goes by so fast when you live it six minutes at a time..."
"Win with class, lose with dignity..."
And my favorite one, passed down from senior to senior, explaining the invaluble tactic of getting fired up:
"If you go out on that mat, and you think about all the pain, all the sweat, all the blood, and all of the hours away from your girlfriend, your friends, and your family, then you should feel at least a quarter of the hate I feel for my kid when stepping on the mat. And if you hate him that much...you'll want to kill him."
EDIT: Oh, and the ever classic, "You ask if all of the pain and sacrifice is worth it...now you know."
And of course, the "iWrestle" poem...
There's a few more I like, but most of them are from my high school back in Michigan, so y'all probably wouldn't get them.

"I got 2 WORDS FOR YA...."
Oh, wait, that's the wrong kinda wrestling.
"I got 2 WORDS FOR YA...."
Oh' date=' wait, that's the wrong kinda wrestling.[/quote']
Who says that ... it really rings a bell and i can't place it. Yes, i watch that kind of wrestling too ... everyone can use a good laugh.
I can't even remember who it was now, it was several years ago when they were saying it.
:x
I remember now, it was Xpac. Pronounced Xpock.
Mine is:
People make jokes about wrestling.
People make jokes about wrestlers.
People make jokes about "Wearing Tights".
But the wise ones however, rarely share those jokes with wrestlers.
Oh yea that is cool.
" you cant hold your mudd and i like to see blood".... i think its like that....... Vision quest
"Hold my headgear whle I iss your girlfriend"
