Resilite---
Advantages.
1. Last longer
2. Has 2 sides you can use.
3. The 2nd side has practice circles.
Dollamur advantages
1. Easy to carry
2. Easier to store.
Disadvantages
Resiliite
1. Bulky to carry/move
2. need a large place to store.
Dollamur
1. Only one side to wrestle on
2. Use more mat tape.
Dollamur because they are easy to store
Although I am not a big fan of Dollamur because they seem to be harder than a resilite, the new one doesnt need mat tape at all. Its the new Flexi-Connect mat.
I hate wrestling on the Dollamur mats. They do seem harder but I can't explain why or how. One cannot deny the appeal of them because of ease of transportation and other related reasons but there is no comparison to wrestling on the two. Maybe if I had grown up wrestling on Dollamurs and switched to Resilite I would feel different but I don't think so.
I agree with jpizar. They are harder. As a coach who stands on it all day, it kills my feet. Just a thought.
