How did things end up around the state this past weekend? I know there were matches at Montgomery Co. and Summit View. I heard Oldham, Fern Creek, and Elkhorn had a decent showing at SV. How did it shake out other places? Any standout kids so far?

I was at the Campbell Co Middle Dual tourney and there were some impressive kids there. Mater Dei, IN had some very well coached kids. As far as the KY kids I watched, Graziani from CCMS looks like a beast and is very confident and knows whats happening. Ryle had some kids that have been around a while and look like they will be hard to beat like David Rich, Grant Farwick, Johnny Meiman. Walton's lower weights looked untouchable for being so early in the season..from Peace, Roth, Martin, Meyer, and so on. These kids looked very good. Trinity's kids looked very green to me. The whole day went very well and I was impressed to see these kids already being very smooth for the beginning of the season. There are a lot of kids I missed, but these are the ones that come to my mind. A great day of wrestling for all. Great job!

sounds like some good competition so this early in the season. Walton's little guys have been impressive for a couple years now.

Agreed , Oldham and Fern Creek looked tough. Elkhorn looked pretty good, kind of spotty. Those guys do seem to always bring it though.

You can tell that a lot of these kids are devoting much more time in the off season to wrestling from camps, to private lessons, and tourneys. Great job so far!
