Topic ID: 8110 | 41 Posts

Does anyone have a list of teams that are showing up this year?

4 region 4 teams will be there St.X, Moore, Central and Trinity

Oldham co, and N.oldham, Eastern

I think Ryle, Scott, Simon Kenton and Walton Verona from region 6 will be there.

Lafayette will be there.

Bourbon County, Central High, Christian County, Cooper, DeSales, Doss, Eastern High School, Fern Creek, Henry Clay, Holy Cross, Jeffersontown, John Hardin, Lafayette, Louisville Male HS, Moore, North Oldham, Oldham County, PRP, Ryle, Scott High, Simon Kenton, Southern, South Oldham, St X, Tates Creek, Trinity, Walton Verona, Woodford County.

145 will be interesting...the current 1-5 ranked wrestlers will be there and PRP's 145 won the JCTC.

Seems like a solid tourney.

i feel like people should be talking more about this then the myers brothers

AGREED!

so does anyone have any predictions

Someone will win!!!!

The Meyers are nothing more than a distraction, they didnt wrestle at Beast of the East? why didnt they wrestle there is there so *** good? Im tired of hearing of about the whole situation!

Im not sure about Desales and Doss going to the Dragon, and Male?

This is gonna be a tough tournament no matter what weight class your wrestling.

Ive heard Male will be there. Not sure about Desales and Doss. If Male is there, Coach McCoy is throwing them right into the fire early.

According to the Scorebook Doss, Jeffersontown, Henry Clay and John Hardin are going elsewhere......did you get a list from last year or just making it up ?

kdsmith has Christian County at the Trojan......yet scorebook has Christian County at the Dragon......hmmmm......all tournament lists I have seen are wrong.....pretty bad info in here anymore....and way to much drama.....How did the Meyers comment get in this thread anyway ? I got a headache !

The list of teams was given to me by South Oldham. Since the list comes straight from South and Male is included I assume it has been updated from last year and is accurate.

On the male thing, I dont think coach MCCOY is throwing them in the fire early, I think he is just getting his team ready. For a first year yeam, they look ok. Think he is showing them what he expects them to be and knows the best competition makes u better. I commend him on that and think its a smart move.

does anybody know what he seeds are

106 and 145 are Stackeddddd.

106 and 145 are Stackeddddd.

you are missing all other weight classes, all look to be stacked mostly 145 and 285,145 has all top 5 and 285 has #3-7

Im gonn call it now, Clay Brown over Ruschell, IF they make it to the finals

I like Clay a lot but it won't be close, Ruschell is on a different level. I always enjoy a good match though, good luck to both.

Kenton County is shut down. SK and Scott will not be there.

The best match I've seen all year was Ruschell and Carr at the Raider Rumble.

Any updates?

Rearic got beat in finals by desales. Killebrew beat Gus in finals. Rushell won by tech 17-0 fahy won hitchings won chase rush won. 145 didn't turn out like everyone thought top two wasn't even there

106: Nathan Thompson defeated Luke Rearic 113: JJ Killebrew defeated Gus Adams

120: Clay Brown defeated Brian Crawly

126: TJ Rushell defeated Ian Kahl

132: Justin Lampe defeated Tyler Kaelin

138: John Fahy defeated

Hitchings won

Chase Rush won

145 didn't turn out like everyone thought it would

285: Trever Ford defeated Oldham Co.

John Fahy was awarded M.O.W.

Sorry thats all the information i have. Im not sure if everything is exactly right.

120 looked real tough, especially since clay dropped to 120.

what was the most exciting match? I would say 285 finals ford vs oldham county.

most exciting match was the 132 final match, that 360 spin was sick

Team scores?

Walton Verona was at Ryle last night and Clay Brown wrestled 126. Ruschell pinned him in the 1st Period. Brown is a good wrestler but is not even on the same level as Ruschell

Yes but in fairness to clay, his team bumped him up. They were never going to wrestle in a normal situation. Clay is a heck of a wrestler. Tj is much bigger physically than clay is.

Congratulations to TJ for for breaking 200 Career wins.

Good point, kudos to Clay and Coach Barnes for bumping up and getting the tougher match. Moves like that pay off in the long run. Same for Meyer for bumping up to wrestle Gus Adams.

You have to beat the best ot be the best. Right now, TJ is one of the best we have in NKY. The others will have their day if they work as hard as TJ.

Just a quick side note. Coach Barnes did not bump him. He asked to wrestled TJ which in my opinion is laudable. It was like a college match they both wrestled hard. TJ won they shook hands and walked off with no celebrations or fussing.

Does anybody have the brackets for this tournament???

My point was he was wrestling not in his own weight class.

Top 8 placers for the Dragon are in the results forum.
