Had to break down and provide an update before state duals. Enjoy and good luck to everyone this weekend.

i was first to look!!! in school
lol I've viewed it several times before I actually decided to create an account
Pretty sure paulham had insight when it was getting posted. Just a thought.
Karlan Groves from Central is at 126.
Thank You.
Great rankings
Great job Ranger, good luck this weekend
Thank you for all your hard work Ranger! Very nice rankings.
Thank You.
Parrott from North Hardin spells his first name Darrius.
Ranger, do you have an XLS version as well?
I understand that you have not gotten all of the results but Brad Williams 132 has pinned both Austin dillow from Anderson and the kid from southern.
Both pins were in the first period both also at WCI.
Thank you.
Should be the same version.
Ranger, I think you did a pretty good job, but I think there is alittle favortism towards Campbell. I see you have a few guys ranked that was beat by kids that are further down the list. 152 is an example. I am sure it is difficult, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Just one thing I noticed concerning Region 1 at 160. Ki Ryder has pinned Devantae Humphrey (at regional duals), and in their last match Humphrey illegally slammed Ki and was DQed at Blazer Duals. I assume you had been told Humphrey had beaten Ki.
IU beat Kentucky but they're not ranked higher. Can you fix that, please?

The 152 you speak of lost to one below him and defeated 2 above him.
Just thought it was worth mentioning.
Jacob Bennett from Ohio county beat justin Wynn at 138 regional duels

Exactly!!! It's the overall body of work from the results Ranger gets. His rankings aren't based on just one head-to-head match. Ranger has been doing this favor for the Kentucky wrestling community for quite a while and I can say that in the end every year, his rankings are usually pretty darn close to how the state tourney shakes out.
At 160, Jordan Willenborg(Holy Cross) pinned Kenny Keller(Moore) in triple OT at a quad at Moore High School friday night. Very impressive win for Willenborg
I think everyone is going to be surprised by Zach Morris from Dixie. He has been flying under the radar at 152 all year and has put up some impressive numbers. His record is close to 38-4 after this weekend and to be ranked 23rd. I won't be surprised if he places 2nd at Regions and makes the podium at State. He'll be a bracket buster for sure.
.
I Thomas Noe pinned Will conrad in the first period earlier this season & this past weekend lost to Sam preston by 3 but beat Travis Kalien by 1
done
Thanks for these great rankings . I can't even imagine the time and efforts on putting these together. I'd like to see Braden Jones of Boone County ranked at least in the top 25 somewhere in the 170 pound class. He's won the Derby classic out of Louisville, The South dearborn tourney in Indiana as well as finishing 5th in the Capitol City classic with a record of 28-12. Other notable pins came against Campbell County and Ryle and has not lost to either all season. Thanks
Thank you for doing these rankings, but I still don't understand. CH HWT beat the #1 DeSales kid at Tsunami Duals and still is not ranked. So, I'm guessing Duals don't count towards rankings. CH kid has also beaten some others ranked. Bar any injuries he will place in top 4 in Regions to go to State. I read where you are pretty accurate, but you will see the CH kid make a good State appearance despite not being ranked on this list. But it is nice to see the rankings, so we can cross off the kids CH HWT has defeated. Thanks for putting your time into this, because it is interesting to read anyway.
No disrespect intended, but this isn't the way to go about getting your son recognized ...

No disrespect intended, but this isn't the way to go about winning fans for your sports column, Claywell. You're making unfounded accusations. How do you know its a parent? (I ASSURE YOU, I'M A READER... I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THE KID IS.) You've already lost a potential fan since I'll be moving to the area in the near future. I'd like a fair, unbiased, reporter but it seems you're already on a witch hunt.

You won't lose any readers over the post. : ) We did just renew our subscription b/c of the Sports coverage!
have B J Carmen and Darius Parrott wrestled this season, if they can u give some details
Carmen beat Parrot twice ,once 6-0 and then 5-3.
Thank you, i saw where someone posted that Anderson 195 beat Carmen is that accurate.
Yes I believe I saw that also. If not mistaken, looks like his only loss to in state opponent.

A witch hunt, eh?
I know who heartmom is. In fact, I did a feature on her son this week -- hence her post.
Doubt we'll be losing that family as subscribers/readers ...
Also, I don't know who you are but please don't call me "Claywell." I don't like people I don't personally know calling me by my last name. Thanks.

Ok.... what should I call you then? Josh or Josh_? You seem to be a tad bit sensitive. Brokaw, Esiason and even Obama don't seem to be offended when you call them by their last name, but I'll respect you and work on calling you Josh until I'm corrected.... lol. You're such a stinker!!
I sincerely appreciate all reporters starting out and giving attention to kids who deserve it. Best of luck you to with your papers and jeeze... I'll probably subscribe when I move south.
I'm not sensitive about it. I just don't like people I don't know calling me by my last name is all.
Mr. Claywell has done a lot for the sport of wrestling. I know who his favorite team is, and I can respect that. It is not my son's team. But I certainly love that he writes many wrestling articles for our local paper, and does an EXCELLENT job at it. I also know his work from Cross Country and am glad he stays so involved with our local sports. He called me on it and that's ok. Rankings or not, we'll find out soon who is moving up to State!
Now, now, heartmom. I have no dog in this fight.
Yeah, I went to LaRue -- but that doesn't mean I root for them or any other team in the area. That wouldn't look good at all.

At the Mustang classic during the 160 consolation finals match Kenny Keller(MOORE) beat Jordan Willenborg (HOLY CROSS) 3-0

Someone who actually gives wrestling attention? Too bad I don't live in E-town
Does anyone know why hitchings went 160? was it because he wanted to face jarvis at mustang?is it for the rest of the season? Heard many rumors going around at mustang and just wanted to see if anyone knew the real reason why he moved late in the season..........................

Really? That's a dumb question.
He wants one more crack at Pledger before ridding off into the sunset.
Who won Jarvis or Hitchings? Did either one win the tournament?
So not trying to start anything but will we get new rankings now that all the " players" have made their " moves" and that middle school state is over. Last year during this same time frame October to Now there were 9 sets of rankings compared to only 4 this year. p.s. ( I remember an earlier post where you stated you were expecting a new member to your household. Hope all is well in that project.). .

jarvis won 4-1
At the Jacket Invitational on Feb 4th #20 Tucker Hurst (woodford) beat #6 S. Douglas (Southern) 9-4
182 Justin McDaniel beat both matt leffler (twice) and pinned mamedov at region duals
182 craven from ryle beat justin mcdaniel at the dragon...

This season has been horrible about people not really posting results. I think that plays a role in why we didn't see as many rankings this year. Ranger can't do it on his own people.
Hey ranger when you post the new rankings are you really gonna put the Meyers down as Campbell Co?
Maybe put them down as GC/CC. They could split the points between Grant and Campbell. Or are you to deep in "Mike's World"?
I was not trying to be nasty just saying it has been a wacky year and I know he has other agendas besides catering to the rankings. But there have been alot of people in transition of some sort and now they have landed. Just wondering if we would have one before regionals or maybe state..This season has been horrible about people not really posting results. We can't even get Region brackets early so we can give some predictions.....Are we that far behind as a state that we can't get the brackets...Go to Indiana's website and see all the Semi-State brackets......Rankings weekly and NO drama plus a countdown clock to State....It amazes me we can't get GOOD info out there on this site.....mostly heresay and drama.....Come on KENTUCKY coaches and powers to be....it's time to catch up with the rest of the country !!!! Totally amazed we can't get results or any decent info at all it seems ! Just my opinion here......and we all know about opinions ! I grew up in the 70's in Northern California with NO computers...We had more info out the then than we do in this state right now.....If nothing changes here, then guess what folks...NOTHING CHANGES except for more drama and speculation...no facts !...Whew...I feel better now !
Indiana's semi-state brackets are already posted because their fields are already set based on the results of last week's regionals. There are some brackets not set for regionals in Kentucky because some regions haven't even had their seeding meetings yet. Region 3 doesn't have their meeting until Friday night. I agree results need to be posted more regularly. However, there are over 3 times more schools that have wrestling in Indiana than Kentucky. Check their website that is equivolent to Kentuckywrestling.com and you'll see that proportionately, the results are posted about as regularly as this site. In Indiana, their coaches' association does the rankings. In Kentucky, it's simply a fan of wrestling who takes the initiative, not our coaches' association. They use his rankings. It seems we use region reps for everything else, why not use a region rep to help post or give results for their region? Simply have the coaches in each region e-mail their results to the region rep whom they designate (doesn't have to be the same rep for everything else) and have that person forward them on. That might help some. I'm sure Ranger gets conflicting results all the time. One source for each region might help eliminate some of that confusion which would make it easier for him to decipher those results and rank the kids accordingly. It might help him be able to post rankings more often as well. That's my two cents anyway.

EXACTLY......EACH Region does need a representitive to get pre and post tournament info to this site.....Still baffles my mind how some Regions have way fewer number of teams making it much easier for kids to qualify....possibly leaving better wrestlers at home during the state tournament....some Regions may be 6 or 7 deep with quality wrestlers in a certain weight.....It would make Rangers job much easier I would think to have accurate info to do what he does......and as we all know anyway the REAL rankings come out the night after State and all 14 Champions have been crowned.....This was not intended for Ranger at all, he does the best he can with info given him and we all appreciate it...I think he knows that. Thank you Charger Coach for your input and thank you to all the coaches that have already supplied info and results after their tournaments this year....makes it fun to follow all the action with accurate info and not just heresay !
These two websites trackwrestling.com and nwca.com have results.

I use them to dig for info...they are a great source...thanks for mentioning them !
Fitzpatrick Anderson County (220) beat Darrow Trinity (220) at the state duals
Yes, the Region Champion Title speaks louder than any rankings. Great job wrestlers! Loved watching Region 2!! What a great culmination of your hard work, determination, and given talent!
