Polley is on the same side as Cooper, Maupin/Jude will be a heck of a match, Just think 138 is Fahey and the rest of the weigh class, Brown has a great draw

Biged, we are all entitled to opinions, but your 138 opinion is pretty harsh. There are definately some tough kids here. I admire them for not running to other weight classes. Clay is 42-1 this year, Hamilton has been on a roll, and yes Fahy is the favorite. I do seem to remember an "unbeatable" 3 timer going for his 4th tiltle and coming up short in the finals a few years back. Anyways, I just wanted to say my peace about it. Good luck to everyone this weekend.

Didn't know a fresh losing to a sr returning st champ was considered an upset ,let's be real if a fresh in any state in the country defeats a sr returning st champ in the finals of the state tourney he's MOW and it's an upset of epic proportions ,I see where this is going and should by some. Chance he actually pull it off and get disrespected I'm sure the rest of the country would be laughing at good ole boy politics here in KY,but more concerning to many would be how he takes it out on the comp the next 3 yrs , let's be honest how many fresh you know have ever won state wrestling up let alone under his circumstances,safe tourney and trip to everyone this weekend

The only person I can think that had a shot at going for 5 but lost like they're freshman or sophomore year in the finals was Joe Carr Jr. Is that perhaps the answer?

at 170 Sam Willbanks of Moore has beaten Rhodes Bell this year. This will be a great second round match. Winner could very well be in the finals. On that top side.

Rhodes Bell has lost to Sam Willbanks, Caleb Canter (twice) and Cody Floyd. Cody Floyd and Sam Willbanks both are in the top bracket with him.

GOO - I might be wrong but when Cole lost to the kid from Hoptown Person I believe wasnt Cole already a 4x champ?

Robbie Clarkston (RIP) was runner up his 8th grade year and then won 4 straight.

Joe Carr Jr. Won his 8th grade 10th, 11th and 12th grade

Lost to Greg Woodrung (One of my all time favorite Union Co Wrestlers) his Freshman year.
