I've heard from a few reliable sources that Nelson co has decided to drop the sport of wrestling, it's sad considering they were still such a young program and had a few quality youngsters on there team this year

I have heard that the building of the new school has sent the school system into a financial tailspin. Possibly several other sports may be effected when its all said and done.
I thought that it just wouldnt be a sport at the new high school for a couple of years. After i graduated, they added to the existing high school, a wrestling/ cheerleading room. It was my understanding that they did this to be "equal" to the new high school. The last I heard from a nelson county employee was that wrestling would remain at the current high school and pick up at the new high school a couple years down the road.
